You have to love these "Show no substance, allow for anything"-performances, since they have the marvelous ability to make the most boring and dull individual feel like a savant of philosophy and the arts for interjecting his own little interpretation to something that is more or less an empty field of pure BS.

Arguably, this is an unfair assessment because we aren't treated to the whole of the material here and most certainly aren't treated to its sounds, but the point still stands.

What is the concept of this piece, and how do the (same old) contemporary dance steps contribute to this? My concern with contemporary dance, especially in the uk is that if u strip away the concept, the movement form is never that dissimilar. If the form is to advance then perhaps this needs to be addressed. The body is capable of so much more expression, than the learnt techniques of dance schools. 'Contemporary dance' if those two words were to truly evoke 2009, what would it look like?
