I've always wanted to get one of those, but I bought a telephoto lens instead, which was probably cheeper. I have No idea where you can by that adapter you used too.
Nice stuff. But when you shoot make sure to zoom in enough on the dvx so you don't see the adapter in the frame. There was a little bit in the corner.
Jeez, that bokeh is blurry. The areas like 4 feet away are just as blurry as the objects 30 feet away. I'm sure that it wasn't too expensive though. Check out the Cinemek G35.. Hopefully to release soon. cinemek[dot]dom
The iFocus is probably the least expensive 35mm adapter out there, so yeah you're not going to get the best image. But the YouTube compression doesn't do it justice.
Yeah, I know. A good screen costs a lot of money. The adapters are pretty fun. They can definitely add to a low budget film. But unfortunately a lot of people use them as a krutch when they should be focusing on more important things like filmic lighting. I have a DVX but I never really get to use it :( I want to, but I don't have any friends who are really interested in film, so nothing ever really happens. I'll probably be shooting with it a little in a few weeks though :)
If you're aiming for a continuous look between the first 5 episodes and the new one... well, I think you know the answer, but this open up many cinematographic possibilities.
On the other hand, I think this requires a little more practice before it's applied to any actual projects.
very nice

What film speed were you running? 24p? What F stop? Did you find you needed an AC pulling the focus in order to get the racks perfect?

This is friggin tight. Where did you buy the adaptor?

From the guy who makes them. Search DVXUser and iFocus on google. You'll find him on the DVXUser message boards.
