  • what focus screen you used ? is it vibrating of static ?

  • Static

  • What kinda of focusing screen you used ? i see no grain,

  • nice

  • Hey guys posted on your short film youtube page, get back to me - Dallas

  • Oh great, more indie types...

  • looks like its been softened hardcore in the light

  • looks like a video game

  • wait what?

  • where EXACTLY can I go or contact to get one?

  • What film speed were you running? 24p? What F stop? Did you find you needed an AC pulling the focus in order to get the racks perfect?

  • This is friggin tight. Where did you buy the adaptor?

  • From the guy who makes them. Search DVXUser and iFocus on google. You'll find him on the DVXUser message boards.

  • Thanks bro.

  • I've always wanted to get one of those, but I bought a telephoto lens instead, which was probably cheeper. I have No idea where you can by that adapter you used too.

  • damn! what a bunch of retards!

  • Nice stuff. But when you shoot make sure to zoom in enough on the dvx so you don't see the adapter in the frame. There was a little bit in the corner.

  • Jeez, that bokeh is blurry. The areas like 4 feet away are just as blurry as the objects 30 feet away. I'm sure that it wasn't too expensive though. Check out the Cinemek G35.. Hopefully to release soon. cinemek[dot]dom

  • The iFocus is probably the least expensive 35mm adapter out there, so yeah you're not going to get the best image. But the YouTube compression doesn't do it justice.

  • Yeah, I know. A good screen costs a lot of money. The adapters are pretty fun. They can definitely add to a low budget film. But unfortunately a lot of people use them as a krutch when they should be focusing on more important things like filmic lighting. I have a DVX but I never really get to use it :( I want to, but I don't have any friends who are really interested in film, so nothing ever really happens. I'll probably be shooting with it a little in a few weeks though :)

  • Yeah, Good Work, Guys. Tell us some more about it.

    Tech specs..

  • Wow, shallow focus! It's possible [on video]!!!

If you're aiming for a continuous look between the first 5 episodes and the new one... well, I think you know the answer, but this open up many cinematographic possibilities.

On the other hand, I think this requires a little more practice before it's applied to any actual projects.

  • Holy crap! That is a crazy awesome adapter.

And you have no idea how happy it makes me that he's wearing that shirt.
