  • Just read the bio. A couple of corrections told to me by Annette/Carol herself: the first session was "Pet" and "To Know Him," the latter done in one take in the last 15 minutes. "Wonderful Lovable" came later. Also, The Spectors Three did not include Carol; it was recorded in NYC for Trey, dist. by Atlantic. The exquisite "I Really Do" was almost a hit; "I Know Why" is the flip. It was sort of a "practise run" for The Paris Sisters' hits.Just setting the record straight; thanks!

  • @countrypaul thank you I'm appreciate your comment.

  • Another of the gorgeous ballads on Imperial written by Spector showcasing Carol Connors' voice. The harmonic progressions in most of them are very sophisticated for the era, especially for music adapted to the doo-wop style. Why Imperial chose to release an LP of covers as opposed to these melodic gems is beyond me. Thanks for playing this most obscure of the Imperial originals.
