I think my cat may be going through this now. What did you do to treat it? Is there medicine or anything? She's staying over night at the vet now. She also has thick blood so they're saying she may have a tumor, bone marrow problem, cancer...every horrible thing you could think of. She's only 3 yrs old. Was it the same for you?
Is Sparks older? I have a 10 year old dog, who has facial twitches where her jaw does the same thing as your cats did. Or half her face with tense up and she'll gag. Or she'll do what it seems like is grinding her teeth. I know it's cat and dog, but I'm pretty sure our pets have the same problem. Or mild seizures. Good luck and health for Sparks. ):
My poor cat has been suffering almost since he was born (fucker ate a piece of chocolate that Olive Garden puts in their meals for take out). I don't even like chocolate, so imagine my surprise to see a chocolate bar with cat teeth in it, took me forever to figure out where it came from. I don't think there is treatment for it, just medicating it, and hoping it doesn't happen. It's sad, they keep getting worse. Have you ever been able to get your cat out of a seizure by hugging him? I have once
My prayers go out to all the people that experience seizures, and all the pets that experience seizures. Its not right. I wish we can all live in a world where nothing bad happens. My God bless you all.
My cat doesnt do this but my dg does.....and it;s not fun to watch your pet going crazy not knowing whats going on..all you can do is hope that they dont really hurt themselves,
Your poor kitty!! I have epilepsy too so I know how your kitty feels. It is very scary to have a seizure and lose control of your body and lose memory/awareness. I'm very sorry for your poor kitty, but you are doing the right thing by letting her recover in her own way - just being there to comfort her if she needs it or just letting her go off and hide too - sometimes that's the best way for them to deal with it. Hopefully your vet has her on a good treatment! God bless you and your kitty!
my cats going through this.... i have.. no idea what to do.. I had to put her in her kennel because she was hitting the walls so hard.. . When I tried to hold her, she would growl and scratch me... I .. am scared ill lose her....
Its sad to see ur cat acting that way. I can just imagine how you feel every time ur cat does this. I have full respect for u and ur cat man!! Best wishes to you and ur cat

My cat has these small seizures once in a while.
She starts rolling around and rubbing her face everywhere and when we interupt her she runs off blindly.
She hit our piano a few days ago :(

Were you ever able to treat this? My cat started going through this yesterday, and we still don't know what will come of it.
