Mate, you are today's Mozart. It's a different time, different instruments, another language. But that's this playful creativity with sounds that show your talent. You are a genius ;-)
@Lord0Drizzle Heh, I had two cameras recording when i played this so i can cut between those for more interesting angles. So yes, that's an edit but still a single take from beginning to end. :)
The sounds.. i don't know. They just come out of the machine. When i start building a track I have no idea what's it going to sound like when it's finished.
If you want to know something more technical then just ask :)
tunes are sounding really good. interested to know why you have both emx and esx? i have an emx and am wondering whether there really is that much advantage to having an esx as well; as apposed to just having an emx and a dedicated sampler?
Well the ease of use for live performances for one. For studio work there are better alternatives out there. And for me the ESX IS the dedicated sampler, i can load my own samples into every part of the machine and play them the way I want! :)
Tää on tosi hyvä. On tullut kuunneltua tätä tosi paljon ja tämä koko kappale toimii tosi hyvin loopissakin. Pientä säätöä vain ja tosi hyvin toimii. ^^
@HarriL I honestly just got it unpacked along with an akai s1100 and blofeld in my new place as of last week so I've only just done a preliminary. But I like the sound of them.. they are fun and functional and I wouldn't mind taking them out of the house.
@syzygywell oh, that's cool. Take your time and try to sample something original into the machine, the preloaded sounds may not be the best in the world :)
As for taking your gear out of your house... Go for it! I'm going to try and shoot an outdoor emx/esx video in a month or so :)
Always happy to see new stuff harri. Hope you get an album out sometime, and get some fame. I think your shit is much better than most commercial stuff I've heard.
@MikiP The blue one its a synth, sounds are recreated by algorithm that imitates old analog synthezisers. The Red One its a Sampler, use pre recorded sounds.
@MikiP Kofla2000 already answered this but yeah, the Korg Electribe MX is a drum machine and a monophonic synthesizer.
The SX is a sampler that comes loaded with various sounds like drum loops, single shot drums, instruments and stuff like that. Drum sounds are the same as EMX, but you can edit them or even delete them if you wish. I have deleted most of the preloaded loops and replaced them with some of my own samplings.
