Just a thought on the mixed discussion, if you really think about it all Black Americans are mixed with some other race. There are NO pure Africans in American whose ancestries were part of American Slavery. So in essence all African Americans can say that they are mixed. And most Caucasian can say they are mixed (nationalities) as well. America really need to do away with the race categories and just refer to all Americans as American. BUT we will still find a way to categorize each other

Black people always ask "what are you" as if I am an Alien from another planet. My hair is quite straight in comparison to most black people, but my skin is caramel in color so they know there is something mixed in with my blackness.
