  • They pronounced Michelangelo the Italian way.

  • @radabon I'm pretty sure y'all don't say "Mikeranjero" in Italy. But yeah, the way they say it in this song sounds pretty close to how it's pronounced in a lot of European countries.

  • Cartoons back in the 80's were worthy enough to go be broadcasted in Japan!!

  • this is when American cartoons were good enough to be aired in japan.

  • I don't understand 1 word of it, but that was still awesome.

  • Truely Japanese know how to spruce thing up!

  • crap

  • ye ninjas are in japan so its kinda apropriate

  • names are perfectly pronounced, no like the english version.

I mean, those names are from Italy after all.

  • lol

  • This show was actually partially produced in Japan, like the 2003 version.

  • It's hard to hear, but for the most part it seems like a loose translation of the English version.

  • ♪~おれたちゃ忍者タートルズ▼

  • The Japanese version for the 2003 series is better!

  • WHAT!!!

  • Awesome version!

  • 四人の声好きだ

  • lol, four dislikes. The four turtles disliked it. What an awesome theme.

  • Melody is kinda reminding me on Dragon Ball Z opening (Japanese one ofc) at the part with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle chorus ( i assume thats what it means xD)

    watch?v=edJ7KxfRJfk

    This one

  • はは、わろすw

    懐かしいな

  • its funny cuz the 1st 5 episodes of the series count as anime because they were done by toei animation, a popular animation company known for the dragonball series and one piece series

  • @zeldamaster52

Technically yes, seeing as to how anime is just the japanese word for cartoons. In that respect all cartoons are anime, and all anime are cartoons.

  • @SmashBroDx

You're confusing Japanese usage and English usage. The Japanese word for any and all animated "cartoons" (this includes CGI and clay-animation as well as traditional animation) is "anime", short for "animeeshon", from the English word "animation". The Japanese refer to Japanese cartoons as "nihon no anime", whereas in English, we use the Japanese term "anime" to refer specifically to Japanese cartoons.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli

...Was that for me? 'Cause that's essentially what I said (Japanese word for any and all animated "cartoons" is "anime"). All "nihon no" and "anime" does is describe the TYPE of cartoon/anime.

  • @SmashBroDx

Well, you said "all cartoons are anime, and all anime are cartoons" to that other guy, but in English usage of the term "anime", that's not really the case - not all cartoons are anime (although all anime are cartoons). Just the same as in Japanese, not all "anime" is "nihon no anime" (although all of "nihon no anime" is "anime"). But it's not that big a deal. You seem to get the drift.

Of course, you could argue in favour of descriptive rather than prescriptive definition.

  • @WiggaMachiavelli Although this intro movie WAS anime, as it was done by Toei; as was the first season.

  • This sounds kinda...off.

Call me a weeaboo, but I still like it for some reason.

  • So that's why the digitized TMNT theme on the Nintendo games was in a different key.

interesting how they kept the original melody but translated the lyrics to Japanese, the inverse very seldom happens.

  • Now my new ringsignal, LOL!!

  • This version's catchy in its own way :)

  • It's the same as the english, just japanese, they pulled a Vic Mignogna, or is it the other way around...?

  • This is actually pretty cool! =]

  • Awesome! Go Ninja totoru!

  • rtarded

  • ...interesting

  • ching chong

  • las tortugas son yankes los nipones se las quieren llevar noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • 私は退屈なこの言語ハハを知っている

  • @Adrian52905 wwwwwwww

  • @Adrian52905 wwwwwwwwwww ハハハそうねえ??馬鹿ねえ

  • Haha I know boring language

  • for respect, can you put TMNT © Mirage Studios, please?

viacom, nickelodeon & mtv are crap (cbs did well seperating from them)

  • @abrahamWCE Done and done. It actually hurt to put Nickelodeon/Viacom the first time.

  • @aweboy but mirage didnt own the japanese theme song TVTokyo did...

  • @abrahamWCE But uh Nick and Viacom dont own any of the of the old turtle stuff, just anything made and produced in 2000 and up, the 80's turtles stil belong to Mirage Studios, and thats because the firs t12 episodes of turtles were animated by Toei entertainment of japan, and they refuse to sell the animation stills/designs and copyrights to nick/viacom

  • wow i thought that the japanese would actually stick with the japanese word for 'turtle' which i believe is 'kame' and ninja which i believe is 'shinobi' but this is funny! i love how they try to say 'tatles'! makes sense since they don't really say 'r' in japan. the first five episodes were actually considered anime since they were made in japan... wow this brings back memories :D

  • @AlexHamato ...ninja is a word ORIGINATING from Japanese xD

  • @aquatius oh! that makes since :D since in the book Shogon by James Clavel the samurai called the assassins 'ninja'. ha ha ha! i actually got the word 'shinobi' from Naruto and well.... that should explain that in itself!!!

  • If it weren't for the Japanese, we would have never gotten those awesome video games. Like the one for SNES that everyone SHUD remember!

  • ティーンエイジミュータントニンジャタートルズ

  • O MEN DA CHA NEEN-JA TATLES!

  • turtle power!

  • u gotta be kidding me! hahaha hilarious!

  • lol

  • its ninja turtles in the usa and japan its hero turtles in the uk

  • your wrong it doesn't belong to nickeloden and viacom yet

  • @7transformer It went to Viacom and Nick at the beginning of the year. There's already merchandise out with the copyright reflecting the ownership change.
