You should be using ads with this shotgun and take off steady aim. It really helps tighten the pellet spread. Therefore, this is the perfect gun when you need to run dead silence in tactical based games. And maybe one of the best HC guns overall when you put on range

@alphagamer774 Thats not true. For some guns it does (usas12, model 1887), some it widens it (ksg12, spas12) and the rest it has no real effect. You'll get a lot more kills adsing with those two guns than spraying. And you save a perk

I havn't got damage or range with this thing yet and so inconsistent at times. I had an instances where it took three shots too kill at short range then I managed to get the all pro challenge at what seemed like hitmarker range.

Hadn't got damage or range yet, but I swear... I'm getting hitmarkers galore (even close range to the chest) with this gun. I only see one shot kills and noobs running around looking at the ground here.. Against real competition a hitmarker=death every time.

you never use the iron sights on a shotgun, it doesnt help

use marathon,assasin,steady aim,

using a shotgun, you need to flank the opponents

so marathon is good for that,assasin since your gonna be close to enemies and being on the radar is no bueno,and steady aim for a tighter spread meaning more 1 hitkills if you can be accurate and go for dead mass (stomach) and shotguns have no headshot multiplier

I love the gun, but it is so pointless >.< I normally get 2-3 shots to down a guy from less than 3 feet. My record was 3 center of the chest shots (he was standing still sniping) from less than 4 feet with all hitmarkers and no kill (he turned around with those stupid fmg's and killed me in .1 seconds)... but i want gold on it for old times sake... idk maybe I'm just terribly unlucky with the spread of the shots

@super00141 Consistancy. I seem to do really good or really bad with this shotgun even though I have damage. It will one shot people 30 feet away yet when im 3 feet away I get a hitmarker. All the pump shotguns are better IMO, even the post patch SPAS, and especially the KSG

@DetSandyVagina agreed, but you have a choice with shot guns, be a beast with the striker, be risky with the AA-12, be a troll with the 1887 (It is the most fun I've had with shot guns :P) then theres the keg which is really good, the spas which is a tic tac compared to the keg, the uses which is pretty good.

@super00141 with shotguns, you tend to get more from afar due to the pellet spread; one or two pellets probably hitting in the upper chest and head area while the others hit the other limbs, which is why hip-firing shotguns is usually the best.
