My middle school just took this to contest today...our conductor said we were almost up to tempo...still wasn't amazing though. We were kinda out of tune and not together when it gets molto marcato...oh well...I wonder how we did...?

I hardly practice mate. My orchestra teacher says I play like a genius though....very odd.  Yeah, the only reason why I like this piece is because it's just so very well put together ^^

Plus, I get alot of "together time" with my sexy female quintet members, so its all good ;P

I thought that they did an amazing job. Beening a cellist, I know how difficult this piece is, I have played all 4 pieces for concert and contest. It was awesome, in some places it sounded as though they rushed a tiny bit, but like I said, this piece is hard.

thankfully we only had to play it for one performance. It was a ton of fun, but playing the same music over and over gets annoying. We do that in my mariachi group. The directors love playing the songs we learned years ago. We've memorized most of them. =S

Yea, it was one of the younger players in the first violins. This orchestra is pretty much made up of the students of the 4 strings teachers from Russia and everyone is at a different level. I'm not saying I'm perfect becuase I can point out several mistakes I made thoughout this entire concert, but being out of tune is too much =P

I believe most of them are. There is a slight sound distortion from the room and camera so it may not come in very clearly =P
