#Especially the upper reaches of the surviving structure., at Rievaulx. Just IMOH , the music accompanying should be appropriate Gregorian chant , rather than Soviet send-off.

I visited this abbey with my family in 1989. As I recall, you can't see much from the road above or the car park. It is only after you walk into the area that it comes into view.  I found it hauntingly beautiful!
