I always figured that as long as he doesn't have anything lodged in his brain, future Peter would have regenerated as soon as past Peter knocked the hatian out. Claire stayed dead for even longer in the first season, but as long as there was no haitian around she came back to life as soon as her brain was free of foreign objects. Like when Sylar killed Peter and Claire later pulled the glass out of his head. How did future Peter stay dead on that slab a few scenes later??

I didn't show this in the video but Peter made Sylar give his ability to Peter so that Peter could understand how to stop the future (world ripping apart) and now that he's got Sylar's power he's also got 'the hunger' which is why Sylar kills so many 'cause he can't control it and this season he's getting grip of his power that's why he seems to be turning good. As for Peter, he can't contol it as of yet therefore he can't stop killing people. I think you need to watch the ep to understand it :)

peter's power is to purely absorb other enhanced abilities. He doesnt need to open people's head to gain their power. i dont think he knows how to access his own power. that is seen in season 1 with the invisible man teaching him to use his power correctly. he def needs more training. btw the whole "hunger" thing is a total copout on the fact that Sylar is just a psychopath and his powers didn't make hime do it.

Wow. Originally, I thought that "Kryptonite" was an odd song choice to go with this episode, but as the video progressed, I found it to be very suiting. :D

I just love what's happening with Peter and Sylar this season, and I hope it continues on into other seasons as well. The two are just such interesting characters, and it's nice to see them swap roles here and there. It helps show how fine the line is between hero and villain. ^_^

He doesn't know molly has a power, though, or didn't at least - same as he didn't know how to access Sylar's power until this episode.

It may be, however, that now that Peter can access Sylar's ability, he understands that he has access to a LOT more abilities than he originally thought he did. We'll just have to wait to find out. ^_^

True, but as Peter explains in season 1, he's able to use his abilities when he recalls the people he absorbed them from. Meaning his abilities are triggered emotionally, depending on which person he associates with which emotion.

However, when he's around others who have abilities, depending on what it is they can do, he automatically does what they can do (Ted, Matt, Claude) or can access them when survival depends on it (Nathan, Claire).

However, he never really met molly - so has no emotional trigger for her, if he did use her ability while fighting sylar, he probably didn't notice - and his life has yet to be dependent on whether or not he can locate someone.

However, after he takes Sylar's power, he's able to teleport from the future, to where Sylar was in his time - which makes me believe that in acquiring Sylar's ability, he now can access more of the abilities he's absorbed, due to knowing how abilities, in general work.

You are wrong because the show is wrong sometimes.. according to the show peter knew about DL's power i mean he used it for the first time when he was trapped in the company with adam and he knew it he could walk trhough the wall, it wasn't any emotional he just knew it so i think he could use molly's micah's, eden's or whoever next to him abilities........ So maybe the show is wrong somehow (Like with the haitian stuff)or maybe there is a reason . who knows

Problem though, is if you watch the episode again, Peter is shocked that he phases through the wall. When he first uses DL's ability, he almost falls through the wall, and judging by his facial expressions he wasn't expecting to pass through it.

My guess is that he intended to telekinetically move the wall, or super strength through it. And seeing as he uses it to escape captivity, that falls under the category of survival that I talked about before ;)

As for the Haitian - remember, the only time his abilities "didn't work" were when he was sent to capture Nathan and Peter. Also remember that Angela is his boss - not Noah (I also believe there was something stated about him being in her debt when Claire goes to Peter's appartment and finds the Haitian and Angela there. If not, I know it's in "4 months ago")
