  • Wow! I want to play this as effortlessly. Leg end.

  • I can't hate Williams, he's too good. But this Segovia school is so muscular and bass-heavy... its best representatives push the guitar to its limit but the results sound like a third rate concert pianist. If we're going to masquerade the guitar as a piano, we should all be learning from Gould.

  • He rolls through it too fast and leaves all the charm of the piece in the dust. Feels very dead like he's not there but just going through the motions. BANG BANG BANG, like at a shooting range.

  • @Rexicano true that.

  • @Rexicano I wonder how then, he became one of the most successful and sought after classical guitarists around...Good job we don't all have your view!

  • @mrpolaroid123

If you wonder how the tastes of the crowd can EVER be wrong then explain how a crappy singer and songwriter like Madonna can be so huge. Right, everyone knows she's so GREAT and the best singer ever, right?

You're pretty stupid with that sort of argument.

  • @Rexicano Not really, Williams appeals to a select few...Madonna is a pop star so appeals to the majority....Even dumber argument

  • i don't understand some people just like to cough so much during such performances...

  • beautiful!

  • a true great always makes it look easy...and he does

  • Wish i had a guitar like that and play it a lifetime the way he uses it ! get your tabs and guitar scores and make it; or build a guitar for yourself or gift to someone with guitar skills apprehensions !!!

  • nice playing.

  • certenly scarlatti would be glad to hear this lovely interptretation!!!!

  • his interpretation and rendition of this piece is by far the best one.

  • Great Player! Thank you Maestro!

  • Maestro, hermoso, hermoso, hermoso, exelente, John Williams es un principe.

  • And a great piece of music, too.

  • I love it, he captured the essence of the piece and every little detail of it.

  • The real maestro !

  • Thank you Maestro, once again !

  • does anybody know where to get the sheet music for this song??

  • this song is in the "baroque Guitar" book by Frederick Noad

  • i know;)

  • John Williams must be one of the greatest guitarists with Julian bream

  • I wonder if he knows 'House of the Rising Sun'

  • nobody plays scarlatti like williams and barrueco!i just love william's approach to classical guitar!

  • Go ahead and bash John Williams. He made over 50 recordings, played concerts the past 50 years, played film scores, premiered pieces, first to ever record a lot of the concertos, even did some pop and jazz recordings. How did he make all those recordings, he can sightread good.
