  • Saw this film when I was a kid and loved it so much. It contained an element of classical theatre, a touch of horror and the actress doing Vincent's daughter was so beautiful (and she needed no botox or a mutant like boob job to showcase her beauty). I'm now 47 years old and let go a sigh when I saw this trailer as the film industry has changed but not for the best. I long for films filled with intelligence and quality instead of the slasher/bimbo movies we are subjected to these days.

  • Amazing story, amazing actors... Amazingly bad directing, editing and writing in places :( Thats what you get for a UK film (im from the UK) Still loved it though. I would enjoy seeing a tasteful remake.

  • LOVE this film! Saw it first on Channel 4 years ago, by the trampoline fencing duel and the commercial break really wanted to see it again....Got it on dvd. They all must have had a ball making this movie, hence such a brilliant cast. Classic!

  • vincent price , you will be missed : (

  • RIP Vincent Price

  • THis is why we never say anything bad about Vincent Price (not that there's anything bad to say anyway but after watching this we most certainly would not). R.I.P. Vincent.

  • ooh

  • Let this be a lesson to all you theatre critics, dig the price, or he'll feed you your dogs-

  • One of Vincents best ever films. And I love the music and motage of silent footage which make up the opening titles.

  • This was the finest horror film the great Vincent Price has ever been in since house on haunted hill.

    thanks for uploading this classic.

  • @eroupopper You seem to be forgetting the Mask of the red death.

  • Movies like this deserved to be remembered for ever. A classic.

  • My favorite movie!

  • the movie itself is a reworking of DR PHIBES.

  • Oh man, great movie. The last few Lear-inspired scenes are the best.

  • The best part is when they feed the guy his poodles.

  • Hehe, my mum's in this. She plays the screaming maid in the hotel. What a role. Any chance you could post that bit? :)

  • One of the local stations here did Theater of Blood just after Price had passed away and they added a little to the beginning showing all the roles he had placed.

  • "Theatre Of Blood" [1973] is one of my fav Vincent Price movies of all time:)!!!!!!!!!!
