Lotsa bullshit racism and ego stroking goin on below.. Music isn't white or black. All music has always existed and we as HUMANS are fortunate to tap into its infinite greatness..

@jasura11 The bass player is actually his cousin, Danyel Morgan. And while his sister does play with them now, I don't think it is not her singing back up in this version of the song.
@lukatme2 it's fact i've never experienced something like that. jimi hendrix, chuck berry. they are masterminds. it might be a coincidence though, dont blame me.
@nateBum you see the guy in the back on piano? Thats John Ginty. He is white. Do you think RR would have him in the band if he couldnt groove? Ever hear of the funk brothers? Did ALL the music for every famous motown song you have ever heard. Half of them are white. Wake up and start listening to some music sir.
@lukatme2 Yes, Yes, yes, some white people have soul! let's not forget though that the best of them admit that what they are playing is Black music. I love Hall and Oats and Always tell people that before there was Justin Timberlake and Robin Thick there was Jon B! that said soul music is black inspired music and the honest whites will say so.
@REASONINFUSION No argument there. The original argument was over the statement "no white could groove like that." I say that is silly. No doubt about what you say. We all know it's black music, and thank god for it my friend. I was playing this cd in my car the other day. the guy riding with me heard the bassline for this and stated out loud, very happily, "thats a black man playing that bass!"
@lukatme2 I am not often in these forums since I am working on a book and can be found in forums addressing racism and right-wing conservative points. Even at that, in spite of some who may think me a "radical black", I daily tell other blacks to put down Steve Harvey and Pick up Time Wise. Music brings us together and that is a good thing. I would also like to say to my fellow blacks that many of the guitar intros we love of the spinners and stylistics were played by Daryl Hall. Good comment.
@lukatme2 i agree with you, sir. my first statement was a little absolute and provocative (but i guess, that's what you have to do to get at least a little attention) however, i figured out for myself that the groove is more common with black ppl. i dont wanna affirm any stereotypes here. its just my opinion. there are great white exceptions ofc. i just think that black ppl catch the flow better than whites.
WOW!!! Great band with some bad-ass sounds going on. They are all excellent musicians but.... who is that monster on bass?? What an anchor. He does not play in the pocket... he IS the pocket
just checked this guy out for the first time and man, all i can say is i went to music school to learn guitar and i think im going to switch instruments
Sadly it seems to have always been this way, the crap floats to the top and just occasionally is a true artist recognised and promoted. I think that his style is just so awesome, I love this way of playing the steel guitar and the jazziness of the tune. I think to have an effect, just make sure you buy the artists material, that does more than anything to show your support for great talent like this.

@1969Sweetpea1 I remember that one! I couldn't go at the time, but it was killing me!!! They were playing at the Staples Center in L.A., if I remember correctly. I hope I get another chance soon!
I've never listed to Lady Gaga but it occurs to me what does it matter to you what other people, most of whom you never have nor ever will meet, listen to? How does it impact you so much that you feel the need to comment on "those people" over here on some other artist's youtube clip? Just curious
@phuckface22 well i'm a musician as well and I just feel that its amazing that I don't hear this on the radio... yet lady gaga is on the radio all day long... its really just a matter of principle... they have more talent in one song than an entire album of lady gaga's... so I simply commented stating that I wished more people listened to this... and really quite frankly you're just an internet flamer trying to stir up trouble I'm not sure why i'm even answering you or acknowledging you!
@MrStumpwaterJack Agreed sir! This is a display of talent and love for music,180 degrees opposite of the tripe heard on the radio . I'm a musician also, and despair over what passes for "talent" nowadays.
@MrStumpwaterJack: what people choose is up to them, and popular music is only popular in sales. for every person that listens to lady gaga there's 100 others who don't like her, so what does it matter? and as far as "USA's music choices", again, it's all up to the person who listens to it, so there's again no point in making an idiot statement about the entire country about it.
Make it funky !

@MrStumpwaterJack Totally agree, 110%
Robert Randolph should be a household name by now. That he's not is a cryin' shame!
Thanks for posting this... this is fantastic!!!

@1969Sweetpea1 Me too - in Cph. It was sick:) and when he came out to jam in the end with Clapton they tore the place apart.
