I like that it has real four-track-drive and working steering.

Got a question though: why is there only one differential used?

Is the steering of a real bv206 working the same as in this model or is it done also with different track speed (like a tank) ?

I used only one diff because I found that with two, it would get caught up on obstacles and just spin one track on the front and rear, therefore not going anywhere. Basically acting as a diff lock on that unit, keeping drive to both tracks no matter what.

I also got rid of the second diff because I was unable to fit it in with the design of the other unit.

I could have made it remote control with two RCX units via infrared, but I couldn't be bothered doing any more programming on it.

Awesome stuff! I built mine purely to see if the Lego model would represent the performance of the real thing, which it does.

That's why I haven't done a working body or anything. Maybe later though...
