Taliban fighters and Al-Qeuda tend to get destroyed cars, and use em as disguises, since their so famous in Iraq and Afghanistan, do to the massive terrorism happening in those countries. They place and IED shell inside those cars, and when the tank drove over the car, it squished the IED, causing it to explode.

the TANK itself isn't what wins the battle, but hardware advantages are nice. What makes our abrams fleets so deadly is the CREWS, Combine superb doctrine and crew training with a computer on treads and you got yourself a VERY deadly adversary.

The arguement everyone brings up with the t series is firepower and the new SHTORA. they act like the DOD isn't aware of the t-90/t-80 series. Besides Russian tank doctrine doesn't put emphasis on surviving rather numbers and firepower.

Leopard-2 has the worlds easiest maintanability.

All aroun though, the T-80U/T-90 are the best tanks in the world. They have the longest range (tank on tank) in the world, and in repeated German and American tests, Russian tank armor proved invulnerable to American APSFD-S ammunitions
