  • Takedown starts at 3:20

  • You mentioned about dry firing .22's. I also had this concern with my ruger because 10/22's do not have a bolt catch. I called ruger to discuss the issue with them and they told me that the ruger 10/22 was designed to be dry fired without creating damage because there is no mechanism to let you know when you have fired the last round. Just thought I would share that knowledge with you. Good video.

  • Go deliver my mail.

  • Do you know what kind of clip that is on the side of the glock?

  • I'd say the Stoeger Cougar, Beretta 92, Px4 Storm are all a bit easier to break down/field strip than Glocks. But Glocks, CZ-75, Ruger P90, SR9/SR40 etc...are all simple enough too.

  • If there was a zombie apocalypse, the Glock 17 would be my choice of secondary gun next to the AK74 as primary gun. Easy, effective and nearly undestructable.

  • Hey Jeff! Love your videos! I'm getting my first Glock here pretty soon and I might be interested in getting that clip that you have on the slide...What is it called exactly and do you like it?

  • Nice info man, thanx!

  • Thanks for the vid!

  • Just wanted to say nice video. At the end you said it was the fastest take down you have seen. Trying taking apart a FN five seven very fast and less parts.

  • @DariusFTW: **eyes rolling**.. If your soo "anti-gun", why the fuck were you viewing a 'field strip' vid on a handgun IN THE FIRST PLACE?!!! ..... Frig'n 'Tool'! You suck at life! **cheers**

  • i have a question for you. i have the same gun and i was wondering when if finished shooting a magazine and i release the slide.... should i dry fire the empty round or is it okay to keep it cocked or whatever? thanks :)

  • why would you have/want a gun?!

  • @DariusFTW i´ll give you 4 reasons:

    -Shooting is REAL FUN

-Its fun to disassemble, clean and oil the gun

-You feel more powerfull when owning a gun and the MOST IMPORTANT reason:

-Gotta Keep home/business safe from fuckbags

  • @BadAssEngineering

    1. get a hobby

    2. get a hobby

    3. thats pathetic, as you cant use it

    4. i know nobody with a gun and i know nobody who has needed to protect themselves.

  • @DariusFTW yes you can use it... and if you know nobody who with a gun maybe its because you are a girl and/or you live in Korea (where all guns for civilians are forbidded)

  • @BadAssEngineering AND it is your natural born right!

  • Where did you get the belt clip on the slide? Is it difficult to attach?

  • keep clicking 1:43

  • Thanks for making this video. It was concise and to the point and I followed along with it and everything was just as you said. A1 video!

  • easiest to take down is makarov by like one step

  • your the best!!!

  • i went from zippo tricks to how to field strip a glock wow

  • thanks for clearing up those rumors... they have been bothering me since i heard them in 2nd grade.... joking, and a takedown video addressing such lame rumors is kinda funny.

  • Very simple and well-done explanation. Thanks!

  • the slide is actually made of tungsten

  • this is actually a good skill to have if you live in a bad area or if you work in a automotive garage. because the glock is such a common gun because of its low price you are much more likely to run across i have had to strip four of these guns because we would find them in spare tires. i only striped them because some of my coworkers were afraid it would go off which is very rare when no one is touching the gun.

  • Wow, you can actually hear this guy drooling over his gun..

  • i find the browning hi-power a bit easier to take down myself, but to be honest that's the weapon i have the most experience with, so it's not a real surprise. excellent video though

  • @mrmilkman0600 The easiest handgun to take down, at least in my experience (Infantry Marine), is the Beretta M9 / 92FS. Me, and many of my fellow Marines when I was in, could pull the slide off this thing like a Jackie Chan movie. Grab it with your right hand from the front (as if someone was pointing it at you), push the button with your thumb (left side of gun as you're looking at it) and push the the takedown lever down with your Index finger and BAM, the slide is off.

  • @mrmilkman0600 I have one too. With practice, you can break a Hi Power down in about 30 seconds.

  • I have always believed that the Glock is thee best pistol for today's battlefields. And after seeing how easy it is to break down and reassemble this weapon only confirms what I've been saying all along, Thanx for the demo!

  • When you dry fire with snap caps is that as bad as a regular dry fire or not because the firing pin is contacting something ?

  • Hey where did you get that belt clip on the side of your gun?

  • Thanks for the vid. I'm a new Glock 30 owner, and I've been having trouble taking down the Glock, as compared to my Sig P226, which is a lot simpler and doesn't require a dry fire. But, as I said, I'm new. Thanks again!

  • Bob cat is easier

  • You talk for 4 minutes before you show us anything. What a waste.

  • @ward3b No one foreced you to watch the video, moron. Also, here is some BREAKING NEWS... you can actually FAST FOWARD VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE!! I know right?! Amazing!!! ....Fucking Idiot.

  • Nice video but the Springfield XDM is still easier to break down and you don't have to dry fire it :)

Nice vid though, im on the fence about buying a glock. I own a Springfield XDM 9mm already so I don't really see the point in buying a Glock because they are a very similar gun. But I do want a .45 acp caliber for the stopping power. I don't know what kind though.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI You'll never go wrong with a Glock. My first gun was a Glock 21 (.45) and it has been flawless for me. Not one regret. About a year after owning the Glock, I discovered the SA XD family and totally fell in love with the XD 9 sub-compact. What a fantastic little gun this is. It too has performed flawlessly.

My POU (Philosophy Of Use) for the G21 is for LBE while the POU for the XD 9 is CCW.

  • @2ridered2 Since I wrote that last post, I have ended up selling my XDm 9 for a small profit to a friend of mine (since I got the gun at such a reasonable price) and I went a picked up a new Glock 22 (.40) I absolutely LOVE IT. I never realized how many more accessories and gadgets there are for Glocks than other guns. I just hope this Glock continues to perform as well as my XDm did. Which I expect it to, since Glocks are notorious for being very reliable. Anyway, happy shooting!

  • and for anyone who thinks that glocks or any gun is all polymer...what do you think they use for springs, elastics?

  • over 4 min of fucking talking before disassembling it..

  • @Koofuku1ce No one foreced you to watch the video, moron. Also, here is some BREAKING NEWS... you can actually FAST FOWARD VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE!! I know right?! Amazing!!! ....Fucking Idiot.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI You mad?

lets take a look at the 10year old little raging mexican here.

You're raging cause people are explaining to the maker of the video, that he should narrow down his "intro".

what you really should do is just shut the fuck up

When you make a fucking video called "Glock Field-Strip/Take-down/disassembly" Anyone with a IQ over 70 wouldent talk about what parts are metal and what's not metal.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI YOU FUCKING FIELD-STIP IT. and then, when the 10year old raging mexicunt's see someone explaining it to the maker, he go fucking keyboard warrior cause he got even lower IQ than the maker.

    the bottom line is,

Fuck you and have a nice day.

  • @Koofuku1ce Lol, your obviously the one who is raging mad here little boy. Making 2 long ass posts, cursing every other word and calling me a mexican? Lol, your furious! You are just to ignorant to understand that if this guy want's to mention some stuff in HIS VIDEO that dosen't have to do with the title, he has a right. You are obviously to stupid to fast foward or simply not watch it. Ur just a fucking pathetic little kid whos to young to own a real gun. Go back to Call of Duty and airsoft.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI

Yes, ofc. I'm the one raging concidering you opened this whole thing by trying to get yourself some balls.

    you're so butthurt

  • @Koofuku1ce Grow up little boy. Yes, you are mad. Its very obvious. And stop using call of duty, videogame slang.. it only makes you look more fucking stupid. "You opened this whole thing by trying to get some balls" What the hell does that even mean? All I did was tell you if you didn't like this video, to stfu or not watch it and not to leave stupid ass comments about the vid. Lol, then you got mad and typed 2 paragraphs trying to insult me with cursing and videogame slang.. hah!

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI calling me a litte boy.. bet your mexicunt nuts havent even dropped yet

  • @Koofuku1ce Mexicunt nuts? Lol, yeah your reeeaaal mature...

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI back at ya, faggot

  • Thanks for the video. I can state that this works for the G34 (the 34 has a longer slide than the 17).

Your method was simple and straightforward. I tried the field strip after reading the manual but your video really hit the target (pun intended).

    Thanks!

  • Is that an extended mag release you have on there?

  • Thanks for the video. This is my first gun and working on learning it well. Felt like a complete idiot but could not figure out what I was doing wrong. Your video showed me it plain and simple so thank you again for the help.

  • Dry firing is not bad for you weapon people...

  • read owners ,manual none of you know shit

  • Great video, I've seen alot of people that want to talk it to death and it's not that serious. And the "thing" on the trigger is one of the glocks safeguards (not a safety) thats supposed to disengage the striker bar and allow the striker to engage the firing pin. So if it doesn't work correctly you need to take your glock to an armorer to have it repaired. The only true safeties on ANY firearm are common sense and your finger. NEVER trust a mechanical safety.

  • @kaynelius Let me retract that, there's another safety on the glock that engages that engages the pin to block the striker. dropped the ball on that one guys... The Trigger just engages the plastic frame.

  • I love Glocks. I dismiss the believe that they are cheap pieces of crap, which is total rubbish. They can fire and fire and fire, no problem.

  • I Got a comment on one of my videos saying that you don't have to pull the trigger to do the take down on the glock.

I'd Like to comment the guy back and tell him he's a complete moron...But I don't Know If You can actually take down a glock without touching the trigger....I'm pretty sure there isn't a way around it but ehh never know.

  • @FabioCrow07770 If there IS a way I dont know what it is...I believe the trigger bar is in the way when raised when the trigger is sert, thats why you must pull the trigger to unlock the slide and remove it 1st...put it this way, a glock manula sais to pull the trigger, Im sure they know if it woudl worth another way, lol

  • @cutlerylover I Just commented the guy back telling him to make a video response in which he shows him taking down the glock AFTER racking the slide back first. he won't do it,He's one of those people with no videos and expert opinions about everything lol

  • @FabioCrow07770 expert opinions, no videos, no info on channel page, I must know him, at least ran into him before, lol

  • @cutlerylover Lol Ya,You must get idiots like that all the time, man.

  • @cutlerylover You obviously have not read manual and should not be handling a glock. Dont feel bad you are in the majority.

  • @FabioCrow07770 Read your owners manual. Your pulling slide back too far. If you only pull it back an eighth of an inch, you'll pull the slide off without pulling the trigger. Read manual. You should not shoot glock until you d. All real gun guys know this

  • @MrCcwinstructor Still have to dry fire the gun because you're more than likely going to have the gun loaded so You'd have to take the mag out and rack the slide to get the round out...at the very least you've fired the gun recently and it locks back after the final shot, you'll have to let the slide forward and what? it won't work, man. there is no way around dry firing.

  • @FabioCrow07770 when i first got my glock, one of the first things i quickly learned, is that you cannot take down the slide without the trigger being pulled.

  • @FabioCrow07770 there is a way ,search for humans 4 targets 2

  • @FabioCrow07770 you can its the pull down levers on the side

  • The sig and springfield xd/xdm is just about as simple, if not more. If you are good you can do it with one hand.

  • Great video. I have the S/W Sigma. Breaks down the same. My friend just bought a Glock 17. He picks it up next week. Thanks for the Vid!

  • Good video.

  • @ Dambugger

    RELAX.

  • MORE THEN 2 FUCKING MINS TO START FIELD STRIPING A GLOCK FFS GET TO THE FUCKING POINT

  • I would have to say the Sig or the FNP series has the best breakdown and Glock would be second.

  • You forgot to say specific parts to oil. and how to oil if you scrub from front the barrel to back you risk making you barrel permanently inaccurate.... when in doubt always use plastic on plastic and metal on metal and scrub back to front .....and glocks have no safety too those that asked below.... and firing under water.l.. well thats a whole another comment lol

  • what is the clip (at least it looks like a clip) on the right side of the G17 slide?

  • @oldPlatoonDaddy

I Think it is a pocket/belt Clip that you use to clip the gun onto your pants without using a holster. (Concealing the gun underneath your shirt) People Who carry Conceal Carry Weapon Licenses do this. (Iono, I would feel safer with a holster.)

  • @oldPlatoonDaddy

its a belt clip that is attached to a special butt plate. its so you can carry iwb without a holster. its called the Clipdraw.

  • how does dry firing harm pistols? Been shooting them for years and one can dry fire thousands of times, without harm. Watching TV, I dry fire many hundreds of times per night and the Glock keeps on putting rounds down range.

    Be specific!

  • @MsQuestor

dry firing usually doesnt harm modern centerfire pistols at all. most nowadays are designed to be able to be dry fired. its just older made pistols and almost any rimfire weapon new or old can easily be damaged by dry firing. glocks are strikerfired and cannot be damaged by dry firing at all. many rifles new and old however can still be damaged by dry firing its just a matter of the gun and the quality of the firing pin materials and design itself. but snap caps remedy this issue.

  • Gun assembly for dummies

  • Excellent video.

  • any glock can be converted to fully auto

  • @7commenter7

Very hard to do it legally, but if you're o.k. with the fed. time....

  • i just bought a s&w sigma 40 cal do u know if they have extended clips for it

  • @jmeezy25 of course they do

  • great vid glocks and berettas can be field stripped super easy

  • wheres the safety?!?!?!

  • @ssadriank glocks have 3 sageties 2 are internal the 3rd is in the trigger...there is no safety on the side of the gun like other guns...

  • @cutlerylover

the thing on the trigger is not a safety. It has been proven. It is usually mostconcepted as one though. In part, there are no implied safties. If its loaded, pull the trigger it will always fire

  • @pichu9000 if that "thing" is not touched the gun will not fire that makes it a safety...not a very good one but still a safety, a glock has 3 safeties, this is one of them the other 2 are internal and you cant manipulate them

  • @cutlerylover

technically there are four. the trigger being in the rear position is considered a decocked indicator.

  • @ssadriank when he holds it up if you look on the trigger there is a little unusual bump. thats the glock saftey

  • Great video. Thanks very much. Love the myth quote.

  • I just found out the shiny part with the serial number functions as a safety XD I guess that's what the S stands for

  • thanks that technique really helped with the takedown

  • @splinterman9 thats what she said

  • great simple video. As newbie I had trouble, but after viewing . I am down to 3-4 seconds.

  • 5:13 thats what she said...

  • Always some of the best videos around. Thank you for actually having adequate light and the close up of the parts.

  • do you carry your glock for conceled carry.

  • like the rest of your videos, very informative. Thanks!

  • WHATS A CENTER FIRE GUN

  • well centerfiure is a round that has a primer in the middel of the casing, as apposed to a rimfire round like the 22's where the priuemr is built intom the casing...

  • @cutlerylover my uncle owns a gun shop and has been a gunsmith (as a hobby) for 30 year or more and he told me honesly the thing about damaging firearm by dry firing it is a complete myth, it does not do anything at at all to your firearm. the only firearm u cant dry fire are rimfires because the firing pin slams into the face of the receiver.

  • @deadtofall666

... and your uncle would be wrong, horribly wrong. There are fire-arms(center-fire) fire-arms, that when dry-fired, can damage the firing pin or other parts of the gun.

Kel-Tec's are some of those guns.

  • @illogicalmethod but how does it damage them? in 20 years of shooting ive never seen anything bad come of it in my personal experiences and the experiences of pple i know who shoot. i have never heard of anyones gun not functioning properly due to dry firing. In the military dry firing your weopon after stripping is a standard function test, dry diring only damages rimfires because the pin hits the outside of the breach but not centre fire

  • @deadtofall666

In certain center-fire fire-arms, such as Kel-Tecs, the firing pin retaining screw will be damaged if dry fired repeatedly without a snap-cap or primer in place, to absorb the blow. This is because if there's nothing there to stop the pin from going forward, it'll slam against the firing pin retainer screw and the force will cause the screw to become damaged and likely, the firing pin too. If the firing pin retaining screw is damaged, the firing pin will come out of the gun

  • @deadtofall666

In addition to that, other guns that get dry fired repeatedly without snap caps, will cause undue wear on the firing pin. I have reasonably well information that dry firing a CZ-52 is bad for it(destroys the firing pin rather quickly).

On other guns it maybe safe to dry fire center-fires sometimes, but not as a repeated and constant habit. Then there are the center-fires where it is perfectly acceptable to dry fire a lot(glocks, xd's)..

  • @deadtofall666

However, strictly adhering to a rule that it's "O.k. to dry fire center-fires, not o.k. to dry-fire rim-fires" is well, wrong.

Never dry fire your gun unless and until you've consulted the manufacturer to find out of it it's o.k. Or, in case of older guns, consult experts who may be able to inform of whether it is o.k. or not for the gun in question.

  • @bigboyjack21 its a gun that uses center fire rounds. a center fire round is one that has a primer in the base of the round as oppose to the primer being the base of the round like a 7.62 nato and a .22LR

  • Nice video dude, you explained that very clearly, that'll stay stuck in my head now if i ever need to use a gun.

  • Thanks! you really helped!

  • no its not a snap cap is a dummy round blanks are rounds with no bullets they just make noise

  • what a snap cap? Is it like a blank?

  • @Pier2pie its like a bullet but it has a spring inside so it's not hard on the firing pin

  • yes

  • .22 is too damn small

  • Just to add... Anyone that thinks Glock are 100% plasitc are fucken dumb asses who probably don't even own a gun or are intetested in guns..

PS> On dry firing a weapon.. The only weapon you don't want to dry fire is a .22 which you mentioned.. You can dry fire a Glock all day and it will not hurt the weapon at all.. P E R I O D

  • actually its not just a .22 its ANY rimfire. you may not brake a centerfire by dry firing, but its still not a healthy for your gun.

  • With Field stripping ONLY I think the Taurus PT92/Beretta92 are the easiest weapons to strip that I've ever seen. Glock is one of the easiest to reassemble from what I have witnessed.

  • Not to bring you down or anything but have you seen a sig sauer p226 yet?

They're easier for sure, you dont have to do anything simultaneously. Just saying, the model 92's are easy but not as easy the sig. Great weapon as well.

  • Ya dude I did see a Sig 226 takedown and was like fuck that was easiest soo far. hah

  • the walther p99 is just as simple. it looks very similar

  • i just wanted to inform u, that even when the trigger is in the "ready" position, it is not necessary to dry fire the gun. what is best for the gun is to pull back the slide, pull the trigger, and ease the slide back forward.

  • nice, very simple yet easy to understand

  • the gun would melt if it was plastic why would u think its plastic?

  • it is plastic...do your research...the synthetic on glocks dont melt with normal use, the frame is not exposed to enoguh heat even with rapid fire to melt...

  • im talking about a barrel

  • oh, its not what I thought, its a common error that non gun peopel make, a rumor about glock in general, thats all

  • thats what i thought. Either thats the best plastic ever and black boxes should be made from it. plastic wont be able to deal with explosion.

  • to the guy who said they can make a full auto. are you a gangsta? who would do that you want full auto join the army !

  • the military classes a G18 as a machine pistol!

  • they can be fully auto on any glock if you shave the firing pin

  • what wodul shavinbg the firing pin do? Im sure there are ways to convert anhy guin to full auto, but its not legal...

  • @cutlerylover its legal for a class 3 dealer.

  • its so it wont catch the bullets when the trigger is held.

  • How does that make sense?

The firing pin does not control the fire.... the fire control group does... hence the name...

Shaving the firing pin will likely only result in light strikes, destroying the function of your gun... Imagine pulling the trigger and it not going bang......

  • 1.) Full auto's are fun.

2.) Full auto's should be legal to all citizens

3.) Many regular citizens have full auto... has nothing to do with being a gangster....

  • i no right

  • the only reason why the army uses the m9 is that it has been the cheapest solution for them back in the 80´s! the glocks work just fine in desert. under all conditions! thts why the israelis are using em!

  • does the fact that spring assembly is one peice rather than 2? (spring and guide rod dont come apart) i have minamal experience but when i fired a glock i had a jamming problem twice with 2 different glocks (they were rentals) was wondering if the spring assembly could weaken over time? great vid by the way.

  • Springs weaken over time..

Compression and decompression are what weakens a spring..

Oh and you can get non-captive guide rods and springs for glocks..

  • The military use the 9mm M9 these glocks are not reliable for combat thats why only FBI, CIA, DEA etc uses them for lightweight and accuracy advantages.

  • not reliable? I guess thats why more than 50% of law enforcement across the US and many other countries use them as theiur main weapon...granted alot of them go with the 40SW but Im talking about the glock in general not the caliber..

  • Do cops have to drag their gear around the desert and if a bomb goes off do you seriously think a glock will still work? They are NOT reliable for combat ofcourse 90% of cops use them they are light and accurate but quality wise the military needs something stronger like an M9.

  • tests have shown the glock to outperform most if not all pistols in reliability, period...glocks just like AK's work in the dirt and mud and sand...they are VERY realiable guns, what the military uses is a diffrewrnt story...

  • Sorry Antonio.... you are really wrong about Glocks. I personally hate them, but they are EXTREMELY durable and reliable. The MK9 actually has a pretty poor record in its time in service with the Marine Corps and Army.

  • @Antonio865 dude you're a fucking moron if you think glocks aren't reliable. pull your head out of your ass and recognize one of the most reliable pistols ever made.

  • Just because its the only gun you know of doesnt mean its reliable if it were like your retarded as says it would be a standard issue for atleast the army but it isnt so go fuck yourself inbred hillbilly cocksucker!

  • Glocks are known for being the most reliable and they are pretty damn reliable.

There's a reason that multiple police officers DO issue them or approve them for use..

As for the army, they don't get guns that are "reliable" they get guns based upon the lowest bidder...

There were reliability problems with the m16 when it was first made and the 9mm pistol they adopted as standard issue(in the deserts of Iraq)..

So please, do not speak unless you know what you're talking about.

  • @Antonio865 LOL hillbilly? The reason the military uses that POS JUNK M9 is because it's CHEAP. It's all about the lowest bidder for military contracts these days or continuing existing contracts (m series rifles). You ever talked to our boys on how that feel about that POS beretta??

  • @Antonio865 Who is this guy? Glock.. unreliable? Glocks are just as if not more reliable than HK and Sigs. The M9 is cheaper and has huge issues with sand. they even had to redesign the magazines due to sand problems. the only reason the M9 is the standard for the army is it was cheaper and had an external hammer and glock couldnt get enough samples in time for the test.

  • @Antonio865 people have shot AT glocks and the finish was the only damage.

  • well glocks jam when sand comes into play thats y glocks arent used in the army (middle east = sand hell)

  • actually there are plenty of destruction videos showing sand not effecting a glocks performance or reliability...That doesnt mean other guns dont perform better than glocks in sand, Im just saying sand isnt a big issue...

  • @Antonio865 glocks are more reliable than the m9.

  • every one should have an old toothbrush to clean their weapon

  • I wanted to know how to field strip a glock, not waste 3 and a half minutes watching an opinion on a summary of a glock.

  • Glocks are specifcally designed to be dry-fired

  • you make it sound like this is something

special. inherent with all centerfire fire-

arms, dry firing is perfectly okay. of course

with anything taken to an excess, wear will

    occur, but realistically, centerfire firearms

    result in no damage.

99% of rimfire firearms should not be dry

fired, but there are rare designs in which

    this will not cause damage.

  • what caliber is your glock?

  • 9mm

  • obviously havent seen the berreta 90two disassembly all u do if flick a lever and the whole thing comes apart, takes less then 10 seconds.....yes i have one berreta 92fs, and a 90two the new and the old

  • Thats the problem with the Berreta, if within a hand reach of the of someone who knows how to do it properly, slide can be removed making your "fast disassembly" Berreta useless. I actually showed it to my friend and he no longer carries it. Don't get me wrong, i love Berreta, but sometimes "easy" is not so good after all.
