Maradona fue mejor que Pele, los dos fueron atletas y físicamente Pele era un prodigio superior a maradona pero Maradona era un artista, verlo jugar no era ver a un deportista en una cancha en un partido sino era ver a un artista creando una obra maestra. Saying Pele is better than Maradona is ridiculous. What Maradona brings to the table is IMCOMPARABLE to what Pele brings. Whether Pele was playing or not, Brazil was still winning during his prime.(for ex: the WC 1962, Pele didn't won it, he was injured for the rest of tournament after the first match, Garrincha actually won it for Brazil. For those who believe Pele scored over 1000 goals is false, they took all his goals when he was playing in the streets before the national team.

In 1962 Brazil won the Cup without Pelé, so what ? That does not mean that Maradona was better. Pele was determinant in the 1958 and 1970 Cups. Pele was faster, stronger, more power-shooter, immensely better header, as good dribbling, as good pasing and filtering and far less querulous and baby-crying. Maradona divings were quite dramatic, looked like soap operas burst of tears.
