@elway0798 ... it's a nice, melodic solo ... but nothing CC DeVille has done - or will ever do - can be considered "mind blowing". A very average player.

@Canes305  Agree to disagree the "Life Goes On" solo.. Is a clinic on scales.. No I'm no CC worshiper but he gets no love from ppl.. When he really is a dam good player judged by the era of music he plays..

@elway0798 ... again, it's a melodic solo and it fits the song, but CC was a one-trick pony with a few signature licks. "Life Goes On" was a good song - especially for that era. The feel was like the chorus from REO Speedwagon's "Take It On The Run". Your point about players from that era - much better guys in that genre -- Sabo / Hill of Skid Row. Frank Hannon of Tesla. Warren DeMartini of Ratt. DeGarmo / Wilton of Queensryche. All technical, yet melodic players, yet not considered 'shredders'.
