  • @cloudy123 no it does not hurt. The more you practice the less pain you will feel, so practice, practice, practice.

  • slap slap slap slap slap slap slap slap slap slap.....

  • does it hurt hitting the wood like that with your arms?

  • is that how it's done?

  • @Ryutobi practice makes perfect.

  • @Ryutobi No, not really :\

Well, maybe for the hard/external style

  • did u try and fail Wingtsun

  • wtf?? FAIL...

  • Ok, that was so sick. Such smooth footwork while moving around/manipulating the position of the dummy.

  • @iProinsias Thanks dude

  • A pleasure to watch, hearing such wood clanks and seeing you move with such enjoyment. Very nice.

  • @rbt4rbt Thanks man, take it easy.

  • also instead of doing karate blocks think about deflection and driving towards the centerline

  • @macemelee good to know =)

  • Dont mean to disrespect but the 30 second mark that someone could have taken your arm and snapped your elbow. and your elbows were a bit too high while performing your hun sau's giving an opponent the chance to push you off balance. the 26 second mark you do a low bong sau and what appears to be dai sau which leaves your upper body vulnerable to an attack.also there seems to be a lack of forward momentum .you keep losing contact and your angles seem easily breakable etc...

  • @illmonk thanks brother

  • amazing, mi inspiration para seguir practicando.

  • HURTS SSSSSSSSSSSS......!!!!

  • oriental style is the best!

  • @billsilvestrini it's good stuff

  • @yellowhorse111 stuff?

  • @MrSmokeytokey Thanks man!

  • @zoinbergs it is also called the wooden man.

  • @handzofdoom you need to look it up on google, I'm sure you can find one. Good luck

  • @yellowhorse111 Is it called something specific other than wing chun wooden dummy?

  • @zoinbergs muk yan jong od the chinese name for it

  • Is their a site where I can buy a dummy that spins like that?

  • Martial arts dont work haha

  • @sickness324 it's a awesome tool.

  • I want a wooden dummy so badly...

  • nice practise ...you can also see my wooden dummy 7 days work cost around 60$ ;-)

  • @TrevorTrevorson good looking out.

  • which part is 'wing chun'? Freaking idiot!!!

  • @mofotox Since you asked so politely I am sure you will get a response...

  • @mofotox That is a wing chun dummy.... Its not nice to call people names.

  • @Chronix74

What would u know u tool brain

  • @mofotox u really are a retard

  • End part lukd funny

  • @mymyharlow 333 i sugest that play with dummies will keep your hand very fast while you blocking and punching when you play with your paterner.

  • @mymyharlow Hey you should get the dummy, a dummy is just mimicking a person and so the application of other martial arts techniques is acceptable.

  • @mymyharlow I think the wooden dummy is the best tool for practicing martial art. It's like practicing with a partner in a close range attacks. If you can get one it's a great investment, you would not be wasting your time or money.

  • @yellowhorse111

you can also see my wooden dummy 7 day's work cost around 60 $ ;-)

  • Hey dork! The wooden man is supposed to be mounted down firmly. This way you can strike hard and fast. But it swinging around like that does nothing but make it easier for you to strike. In the REAL world its not easy HELLO! !!!!!!!!

  • @gilbertvizcainoWhen the wooden dummy is mounted it becomes static, practicing form is good on a static dummy. When the wooden dummy turns you have a 360 degree angle of strikes and blocks. It mimics an opponent so it never stays exactly the same position. Practicing range of motion is pretty good on a rotating dummy.

  • @gilbertvizcaino

Wing Chun wooden man is 'normally' mounted down/wall mounted, however, there are types which move (such as the one in the video) which tend to be used by White Crane practitioners (as well as a few other materials arts) which move - So how about knowing something about it before you make dumb comments.

  • @gilbertvizcaino to add to yellow horse its not about hard strikes its about soft deflecting moves and center line attacks

  • @gilbertvizcaino lol you idiot

  • @gilbertvizcaino because the context of your arguement is realism then your position is groundless. You must have enough sparring experience, even with just performing Chi Sao, to know that opponents can be grasped and pulled using the method of T'sai (grasp and pull). Even if you move that opponent you must adjust your footing. The spinning dummy allows you to finely tune your hand and foot movement to arrive at the target at the same time. Static dummys work well for non-moving opponents.

  • @gilbertvizcaino

Clearly no nothing if u think an opponent is static

  • Ugly....if you call thi shit wing Chun...I kill myself...

  • is this a form or just a muckaround?

  • @TheSome1one it's practice, not full form.

  • @yellowhorse111 ohkay just wondering cause if it was a form I was going to say never seen this style before, look interesting, but good job :)

  • @TheSome1one Thanks man, it's a good workout to strengthen up the arms.

  • @yellowhorse111 yeah looks like good conditioning, but I don't have a wooden dummy :(

  • Is this in Melbourne?

  • @kanejob1998 Sorry man not Melbourne, from the states. Take it easy man

  • nice:)

  • @Gumba237 Thanks man, have a good one

  • Nice Demonstration Sifu! Peace!

  • @WingChun93 Thanks for watching, take care.

  • @rammsteingod666 That's great man, enjoy the dummy when you get it. The world of martial arts is very vast, I hope you find all the styles you would like to learn.

  • @rammsteingod666 Most definetly you can practice with the wooden dummy even when you practice taekwondo. Taekwondo is and art form filled with incredible kicks. The wooden dummy greatest use is the strikes, blocks, low kicks, timing, hand strength, visualization, overall great tool. The dummy is the best tool besides having a sparring partner. Mixed martial arts

  • Great videos... May I ask where you got your wooden dummy?

  • @IntheBricks Thanks man, the wooden dummy was a special purchase from China. I need to ask where the shop is from, but you can find it on the net. Take it easy

  • Actually it's my brother, he's a tough guy. Once we get everything ready, we will be making martial art videos sparring.

  • @yellowhorse111 oh cool man , ya he didnt look much older, but definately older. My mistake , well he defiinately works the wing chun dummy very well. Very smooth and fluid movements.

  • @leguardian Super cool man, yeah tough guy he is. Fought his way back from two surgeries. If you don't give up this is what you can be capable of. Take it easy brother.

  • holy crap lol is that your dad ?so bad ass!
