  • it is looks like supra.

  • :'{ poor squirrels

  • the best

  • It's the LULZ car, it laughs at how pathetic you are as it drifts by you with grace.

  • Trailblazer...

  • 850hp

  • motherf....

  • I grew up "drifting" a 1982 Datsun 280ZX in the snow with NO e-brake when you all were still on your mother's tit.

  • @petemossinc , wow drifting in the snow ,that must be real hard i carnt belive u ddnt have to use the e break

  • PIkes peak hill climb, not a drift race either... if it was they would battle a 60 minute mark not 10 minute racers rather not drift.. sometimes they do and this happens to be pretty sick because ive been there I know whats on the downhill side of that road...

  • Powerslide = drift. Whatever you call it, it's the deliberate losing of traction with the rear wheels. Whether it is done with the brake pedal, handbrake, or the skillful control of the throttle only, the same thing is accomplished.

    *soapbox time over*

One of the great hill climb vehicles and one of the truly great drivers.

  • Quit moaning everyone about this drifting. The fact of the matter is that they need to make drifting championships around mountain courses like this. If you fail you're either not drifting or ending up dead. That is manly drifting. Men would be lost but they would not die in vain. They shall be recovered and hailed as manly men with balls of carbotanium (yes it's a real material).

  • 800 + HP not a thousend

  • @jgijzen *Thousand, not thousend.

  • @rattsl Well thank you ....

  • @The1uzfe they dont move up they retire from f1

  • @The1uzfe D1 Autopolis often had 200km/h+ entry (fully sideways), i've seen 220km/h.

  • @The1uzfe yes i will agree

  • @The1uzfe they only do that on 1 turn and :/ its still not as fast a showy drift is a showy drift not as fast as rally driver slide they r dif

  • here you all go whinos

    Oxford Dictionary:

    Power Slide

a deliberate controlled skid in a vehicle, performed in order to turn corners at high speed.

    Drift

move passively, aimlessly, or involuntarily into a certain situation or condition:

    Accepted term from community:

    Drifting

a driving technique in motorsports where the driver intentionally over steers, causing loss of traction in the rear wheels through turns, while maintaining vehicle control and a high exit speed.

  • wtf man!!!

  • its not 1000 bhp but 850

  • this car is so manly it sounds like it runs on live squrriels

  • The Dynamic Drift, or Lift of Over Steer is the truest form of drifting. Competition Drift involves Power Over in order to continue and is just for show. E-Brake, Compression Lock, Clutch Pop and Scandinavia Flick are all ways to induce a slide. True Drift is in the entry not the exit. But it's all FUN!

  • Forget about the drift, what the fuck was that squeaking noise? Sounds like the car had some loose parts...

  • @McFuckNuggets Blow off valve to prevent compressor surge which can damage the Turbo. Especially with the levels of boost and throttle response of an engine like this!

  • @jimmysando99 The best sound of any FI motor in my opinion. I only wish I could run more boost on my ls1 so I could get a louder BOV :D

  • how can 90% of the people on here be this stupid, all a powerslide is is using POWER to SLIDE around a corner, not the fuckin brakes, you just put some power on goin through the corner and oversteer through it, its not very hard to figure out

  • that is a fucking nice car, but it is a power slide, nothing wrong with it.

  • oooold video, you could find this on WINMX 7 years ago or more

  • This celica is a 4cyl, 16v, 2.1L turbo weighing in at 1950lbs roughly, the noice coming from the motor is combo flutter/bov/wastegate.

    1. Drifting means that you are intentionally oversteering the car and that the rear slip angle is greater then the fronts prior to the apex of a corner usually done so on tarmac.

    2. AWD/4WD that are sideways isn't considered drifting but refered to almost always, it's more of a controlled powerslide.

Anyone wants to argue? Then bitch to Keiichi Tsuchiya.

  • Comment removed

  • Why dont u all shut the hell up there is no freaking need to bring down a person just because he or she made a god damn mistake, and yea its a powerslide, the car is a 4WD morons, and remember that its on dirt. It basically imposible to drift on a 4WD.

  • Itzz called a fukin "powerslide", if yu dont evn kno sportz carz, and turnz..-____-"

  • @xaioguy73 lol maybe in GTA its a "powerslide", but that my friend is an over-steer drifteroony fo realzzzzz

  • There's no blow-off valve in that thing, it's the stall surge flutter. Certain turbos don't mind it at all (and contrast to boost surge, stall surge tends to slow things down = less evil).

  • sorry that aint no 1000hp look it up

  • that blow off valve sounds like 1000 baby squirrels being killed by the turbo, amazing sound

  • thats the funnyest shit ive heard in awhile

  • thats the blow off valve

  • what is making that squeaky sound?

nd how does this help the performance?

  • @winnythe correct me if i'm wrong but sounds like the turbo anti-lag. It keeps the turbo spinning and boost up when your off the throttle.

  • @winnythe

it helöps breaking the sound barrier

  • its the turbo twittering

  • the blow off valve

  • turbo

    run faster

    just basic

  • its called a wastegate, there on turbo cars and they regulate the amount of boost pressure going to the motor to protect it. squeaking sound is when it dumps the air

  • with a turbo when you let off the gas the turbine keeps spinning forcing air into the throttle body (albeit slower and at less boost) but the throttle plate is closed and not allowing the air to get anywhere. A blow off valve vents the boosted air and prevents any damage to your intake components.

  • this is the most played out argument on these videos, "ITS E DRIFTOE!!!"--"NOOO ES A POWASLIDEA!!!!!!"

    who gives a fuck?

  • GAWD SERIOUSLY...

Everyone has their own definitions of EVERYTHING, it's like saying orange is orange, because... Uhh... Well it's ORANGE!!?!? Duhhh, not red-orange...

That was probably worded horribly, but c'mon people, shut up!

  • that is a powersilde..

  • u all idiot..that is a rear whell swap...2jz engine..that is what we call drift..not powerslide..it's obvious..

  • Did you see that huuuge drift... holy shit

  • Are u retardet calling this drift ? This is a powerslide in HILL CLIMB ? He dosnt "drag" on the str8's either does he ?

  • You're fucking stupid.

Drifting is simply losing traction on purpose, it doesn't have to be on tarmac.

A powerslide is comprised only of handbrake, most commonly used on FWD cars.

Ignorant fuck, don't bring people down if you don't know shit.

  • powerslide is used in rwd cars a fwd car cant powerslide. Just listen to the name POWER slide you youse POWER to SLIDE the car. Not rocket science this

  • haha, well done m8, u shut him up!

  • @IXXBC i agree with what ur saying but little to much energy lol

  • @IXXBC man youre wrong, powerslide is done with a rwd car and you just use the gas through the corner. no brake at all.

  • @Bongwater123 no rear wheel are for drifting and 4 wheel is for powersliding

  • @PVTLOZANO youre obviously foreign

  • @PVTLOZANO ohhh rly?? what about FWD LFB technique? Thats the way i do haha. I dunno, i think the terminology isnt so set in stone... actually here: "A car is drifting when the rear slip angle is greater than the front slip angle prior to the corner apex" lol so i guess any car will do... and yes, i can drift in my FWD VR6 hahaa.

  • @stonereflex what im say is when you have 4wd your in a slippery terain atleast you could control it but if your in like a rwd you have no control witch is better in the summer but they made evos for 4wd for rallys but if you want a longer drift you have to chose a rwd

  • @PVTLOZANO

you dont drift an evo, its driving sideways. theres a difference lol

  • @IXXBC there no exact definition of a powerslide

  • @IXXBC Who's the idiot? a powerslide is the exact opposite. done by spinning the rear wheels on an RWD or 4WD car by breaking traction through the use acceleration power. hence the name, POWER slide. fuck up

  • @IXXBC I'm sorry, but you're wrong - why would a powerslide be when using the handbrake - there's not much "power" in that slide is there? There is no strict definition of the terms, but most people say that power-on oversteer is a powerslide, some call every drift a powerslide or vice versa.

  • @IXXBC not to talk shit but a powerslide is a combination of either gearing or handbrake to make the rear lose traction then applying power to the wheels to bring the back around. Hence "powerslide"

  • @IXXBC you're a troll, go back under your bridge and hag out with your buddy who also don't know anything...

Power sliding involves POWER, not the hand brake. This video is a perfect example of turn in, power on drifting. not hand brake necessary.

e-brake/handbrake drifting as seen in american competition drifting is a joke compared to the skill required to control your car sideways up this mountain.

  • @IXXBC I agree with everything you say, except for one thing: drift is when ur sideways before the corner's apex, and powerslide, when after the apex. and powerslide usually happens in RWD cars, that ''open up throttle'', when accelerating out to the straight. but when they have a shitload of power and/or worn tires, they won't get out the corner straight :D and yes, it can also happen in powerful 4WD cars too

  • @IXXBC How would POWER-slide a Fwd car while pulling the handbrake. That makes absolutely no sense at all.

  • @IXXBC You're wrong too, powerslide is not comprised of handbrake.

  • fuck you

  • hey 2chrome bolt u got no idea waht u talking bout.. celica shits on subaru.. if u dont beleive me take a look at the 1993 rally championship wen the sti first came out

  • i don't know... Those new Subaru models look like one hell of a race car. I was I'm my moms V6 van going up a fairly steep hill pretty much 3000 rpm in 4th, a Subaru passes us 1000 rpm in what sounded like second, sooo. He was basically idling up that hill, so I'm not so sure about Toyota beating Subaru. But please, prove me wrong if you can.

  • jjjoojjojojojjjoooooooooooooojojo

  • I'm liking the 3 foot spoiler

  • more like 6 foot XD

  • actually its a celica which is pretty much the same body as the supra soooo might want to do some research.

  • so called "1000" HP celica. pissed off sewing machine is what it sounds like.

  • what a sweet sound ...like birds !!! =D

  • Sounds like its powered by squirells..

  • This is a "proper manly car"?

Celica's are girl cars! Everyone knows that!

  • lol.. these people thing that drifting on a rally course is a good thing hahahahah!!!

  • ? nice comment

  • Yah..............? Way to contribute.

  • i think hes trying to say drifting on dirt is the pussy way to drift..

  • Sometimes fast drifts around corners are faster than braking then speeding up so ya thanks i do rally driving. Show drifting is the slow way of going around a corner.

  • Dirt and tarmac driving strategies are completely different buddy. You have to get sideways to maintain good speed on tighter gravel corners.

  • its a AWD hillclimber, not Really rallying but close...

  • "ne neh ne neh...its not a drift....meh meh meh...."

Why is that not a drift? Yes it is. I hate shitty competition drifting... its the most faggoty from of "motorsport" there is and its always followed by knob heads that think they know all about it... The car is fucking drifting sideways, so its a drift. Its just a proper manly drift in a proper manly car instead of some souped up 200sx piece of shit...

  • you sir are a legend lol

  • @robnob2 yer XD i dont realy like the comp drifts ether in the jap buzz boxes i much prefer watching super fast rally cars going 2 fast for a turn and just flying in sideways 2 the Cliff and still making the turn comp drifts r super slow and all about just spining ya back wheels rally drifts r all about going 2 fast for turns lol

  • @robnob2 dead fucking right mate

  • Good God! That Celica sounds amazing! Even looks great getting sideways. That's one Hell-spawned Celica! A real hill climbing demon.

  • for sure it`s AWD!

  • there is no man in the world who drive a RWD 1000HP celica with that fast with that little angle through a corner. its AWD.

  • bullshits

  • no, its a 4wd

  • hahahahahahahahah

el carro esta chingon pero el sonido parece como el de una ardilla!!!lol

the celica itz very cool but it soundz like a squirrel

    jajaja

  • there is maked rwd celicas for super gt but i think this one is 4wd besides rwd and 4wd can handle more horsepower than fwd

  • looked like AWD to me... i dont think RWD could take it that fast, and the angle looked more AWD to me...

    coulda been a split like 30/70 front/rear

  • Probably like the EVO, you can modify it with a button :P

  • ha, actually its just 4wd. this car is not that sophisticated. the evo is also a lot newer. (no active differential control here)

  • Lets try to install one! XD

  • hey seeth, robnob just called u a dumbfuck

  • Is this a rear wheel drive celica?
