Poor guy...sounded so nervous in the beginning & stressed. To be honest, still thought his vocals were pretty good in this performance. Obviously he tried his best, and he loves this song.
Poor David, was it really true that his Dad had something to do with the "mess" he did??? because David can deny all the bad rumors about his father but he can be doing that just to avoid scandals about his family you know??? at the beginning, he kind of forgot the lyric of the song...It doesn't matter anyways, I love David :)
@kay131x I can't understand, what the big deal is that he messed it up? Check out the same song "We Can Work It Out," by Paul McCartney (no less) Unplugged, and see who messed it up! LOL LOL LOL David was in good company! :)' I'd like to see Mr. Cowell talk to Sir Paul like that! LOL
You can hear in his voice in the interview at the start that he wasn't well. bless him he was so worried about this performance, no wonder it didn't go as good as we know he could have done it.
dissapointed in him? How could you be dissapointed? He tried his best that night just like every other night! I still think he did great. I mean who cares if he missed a bit of the lyrics, everyone makes mistakes.
This was the only performance where I was... I guess you could say disappointed in him. I dunno, I guess it could be because The Beatles are my favorite band. But whatever, he proved himself the next week that he's still amazing.
alguien podria explicarme en español que dijeron los jueces y que paso con la cancion porque david nos e veia tan satisfecho?

I like how everyone boos the judges for critiquing him, why are they even watching Idol?
Randy and Paula are all "I didn't like your voice, meanwhile Brooke is crucified for restarting her song later on.
Way to go Simon for being the voice of sanity, with working ears.
Archie could have farted Hey Jude and been the top vote getter that week. Teen girls are pathetic.

@DSAGroX "which part is the wrong lyrics???"
Anytime he hummed, mumbled or didn't sing anything at all were the WRONG lyrics.

I also felt sorry for him. =[ He was really nervous, and with each lyric mess-up he got more nervous.
The studio version of this is AMAZING! David CAN sing the Stevie Wonder version without a flaw. It's perfect.

He is a good singer, but he was supposed to do The Beatles version, not Stevie Wonder.
violinrules13 2 years ago
He didn't HAVE to do the Beatles version. He can do whatever version he wants.

It's still the same song. Who really cares who the singer was? It was still a good song.
