  • That outro solo is a thing of beauty.

  • @Okibi

    You got that right!

  • Is this on any album compilation or something? Where can I get the mp3s ?

  • 3:21 - 3:33

    EARGASM!!!

  • @Pokepimp30875 I'm dying to get this as an mp3 too. If you manage to get it, let me know! Cheers

  • Acabei de ter um orgasmo!

  • Oh man, I remember playing the shit out of this when I was 5, and crashing into signs on hard turns. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

  • Hang-On, Daytona USA, Jet Set Radio, Sonic Adventure. What do they have in common? Outstanding and nostalgic music from Sega! Although, I forgot some.

  • i was like 5 or 6 years playing this game

this is my hardest game for my sega

fuck all of them were hard when i was little

  • Steve Vai?????

    kkkkkkkkkkkkk

    Marvellous, brilhant!!!!

  • I miss those synthesizers at 0:02 and further on.

  • Where can I get this amezzing track as an actual MP3 download? I only managed to find the original Mega Drive version and also this naff chill out version. Cheers!

  • to much guitar, would love a version not so "guityar hero" nhek great song best ever hfter hardroad!

  • DAT BASS

  • if someone does a Hang On GP (that super awesome Sega Saturn game) playthrough this would be the intro song! and btw the drum solo at the start sounds like the one from the song Believe In Myself from Sonic Adventure 2

  • A musica ficou otima!!! Só faltou a galera renovar a rom do jogo. rsrsrs

  • I must say, it's quite a nice arrangement. Quite a change from the original chiptune, in fact, it sounds even better than the original! In a word, I would describe this as BRILLIANT!!! Great stuff! You should try and make your own version of the game with this music.

  • I use to play this all night on the Sega ....Good Times

  • Thumbs Up if this sounds like sonic adventure battle 2

  • In a word: PERFECT

  • Sounds like those arrangements from OutRun 2.

  • another great versione!!

  • @leapharx this game was made even before the Super NES existed (1987 to be exact)

  • This is total Nostalgia for me and I am thankfull I still have my genesis alive so I can play this game.

  • hang on

  • epic!

  • ahh 90s when video games were worth like £1000s to me as a kid, nowadays I am rich and can spend £40 on a game just like that, although i dont play anymore..

  • @onyx187

Probably because of how much harder they were to attain.

  • @onyx187 The prices haven't really much changed to be honest. I remember saving up £49.99 for Super Street Fighter II for the Mega Drive in the mid-nineties...it was that lame version with 'The New Challengers' T-Bird, Feilong, Dee-Jay and Cammy.

  • Damn this is good.... And not one dislike.....

  • @turnera71

Mostly because fans of the original music are stopping by, and they typically love it to begin with.

  • @turnera71

I totally agree that this music is good..

  • @turnera71

You may have jinxed it ;-).

  • @turnera71 Too late :P

  • @turnera71 there's two dislikes now but hopefully those two people have come to their senses and left youtube.

  • Great Arrangement!

  • I played this game in the arcade to hear this song alone!! The game was cool too ;p

  • epicness doesnt even start to describe this

  • This is a really good arranged version... Sega's music department is very good, but I rather prefer the drums in the arcade version, the hi-hats go faster and that adds a sense of speed in the song that fits nicely into the game, and an extra jazzy touch that here is replaced by a hard-rock-esque feeling.

  • This song is so fucking progressive xDDDD Wooohooooooooo what a snap of adrenaline !!! very nice arrangement... with real instruments. The original midish one already sounded epic :P

  • ...and this was why I always chose the Super Hang-On bike in Sonic Riders. XD

  • I've never ever played this game before, but this is wonderful! <:D

  • oh man, i grew up with this game! loved the music

  • This is BRILLIANT!

  • Wow I just noticed something.

Remember in Shenmue when the streetlights come on and music plays signifying that night-time has started?

The first chords in this song are played during that transition!

I fucking love you Yu Suzuki.

  • @LPdreamcaster9

That's awesome! I wish I still had my Dreamcast :-(.

  • @LPdreamcaster9

Wait thats true , why arent there any good games anymore ?

You know games which had something special

  • @LPdreamcaster9 I'ts not the same song, but it really seems inspired by this one :)

    I always thought the same

  • What does "arranged" mean?

  • As per Wikipedia ->

The American Federation of Musicians defines arranging as "the art of preparing and adapting an already written composition for presentation in other than its original form. An arrangement may include reharmonization, paraphrasing, and/or development of a composition, so that it fully represents the melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic structure"

  • @Ragitsu Thanks wikipedia!

  • @iVanHalen666 What?

  • @Flailwielder Nothing dude... as I read your comment I got a feeling you said that with double meaning, so I answered at 'that'.

  • Awesome version dude, congratulations!

  • Just fucking awesome, thank you very much for sharing your masterpiece :D

  • Cool!

  • @NeoJimCat

    Thanks!

  • 0:58 this part that repeats a while reminds me of when i was on "endless" curves ..... memories

  • Sounds like a korg oasis

  • 1:29 is the best part on my oponion

  • DAMN!! NOSTALGIA!!! GOOD TIMES!!!!! OLD CHILD DAYS!! DAMN!! THIS HURTS!! EARGASM!!! WAAAAA!

  • I've heard tons of video game remixes for various games on the internet and this sir(is that you, Mr. Satriani?), has to be the best one I've ever heard.

Awesome job dude, perfect arrangement, crisp mixing and amazing guitar playing. I love how you keep the retro 80s feel with the backing synths...the processed drums in the interlude were also a great touch. My aural senses were already satisified when it carried out the difficult solo- but when you matched it with a guitar I wet myself!

  • @S3Chord

    (ran out of characters)

Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed this and you should be VERY proud of yourself. keep em coming! hope I can play this good in 20 years or so haha

  • i want this song played at my funeral.

  • woooooooooow!! i´m young again!! =D

  • You only get old once, but you can feel young every day.

  • @Ragitsu - Since it is called the band?

  • @Ragitsu couldn´t agree more, mate. awesome job! fave'd, liked, etc. Keep it up!

  • Responder a este vídeo... o ragistu, don´t u have any Super Monaco GP arranged version? (planning on doing one perhaps hmhm? :D) I´d love to listen to those arranged, great music just like on Super Hang On. Regards!

  • Thumbs up, really nice work!!

  • what memories snifff snifff

  • Music does a great job of that :-).

  • @megamansiempre God! I couldn't agree more! THose days will never return, its upto youtube to keep it alive!

  • This one's got a great Liquid Tension Experiment sound to it.

  • What is Liquid Tension?

  • @Ragitsu

The Liquid Tension Experiment is a group, one of their songs is Acid Rain. You might like it.

  • @BlueStarMovies Spot on.

  • This song breeds confidence!!!

  • All the songs have to. Otherwise, you get frustrated from not completing a certain lap in time.

  • @Ragitsu damn right, i play the arcade version aon mame and even when you lose, you want to try again because it is just so damn fun and the great music helps it alot

  • Hell YEAH ! I freaked love this game when i was a kid... despite i was a loser and i played only the "career" mode !

I was searching for remixes of the 4 musics. This one was my second favorite.

    Thanks for sharing !

    Who did it ?

  • Which one is your most favorite? Mine is "Winning Run".

  • I didn't remember the names. But i think it was the second... After a research : "Sprinter".

  • Oh man, can you please tell us if you'll ever have this for download as an mp3 or something? I listen to this from time to time and gotta know....even if it's no!

  • Yes.

  • Nicely done! The drums are tight. May i ask what you used to make this arrangement? Anyway, thanks for sharing.

  • Happy to serve :-D.

  • Absolutely :-).

  • This is great *****

  • :-D.

  • They should have used this for the motorcycle stage in Bayonetta!

  • I haven't played the game, but thanks for the compliment!

  • Don't you think it could be awesome if SEGA could make a HD remake of this game? With arranged music of this ALL TIME classics? :)

  • What is an HD remake?

  • @Ragitsu A High Definition remake, kind of like what they did with Super Street Fighter II and recently Outrun.

  • Thanks for chiming in!

  • i would like that myself especial the original mode . king Arthur, Marie, Hans, Mia i forget the other racers names. they would need too add more people and music plus stages and playable character thing like in free-bike mode or something. you get the idea.

  • Great song and great remix, congratulations! Can we have this on MP3 or FLAC?

  • Play this on a Racing game and it'll be epic

  • I'm sure some games for the PC (and even XBOX!) can play MP3s as part of the race music.

  • This is fantastic. Listened so many times, its a super interpretation of a super song.

    Great job!

    Thanks for the upload.

Have you ever considered arranging afterburner's music? : )

  • Who is "afterburner"?

  • Afterburner originally, was a flight arcade game created by sega - 1986/87, that features superb songs with great melodies.

  • Great remix of an already great song. Thanks for the upload. ^.^

  • You're welcome!

  • nice ¡¡¡

  • sound kind of like 80's hair metal.....

  • Is that a good thing or a bad thing ;-)?

  • a good thing

  • very very good thing ¡¡¡

  • なつかしい!!!!!!

  • Konbanwa.

  • Anyone else think that this would go nicely with megaman x?

  • Hey, that's not a bad suggestion.

  • I get a major 80s vibe from this song. That's a good thing: the 80's were a much better time. :)

  • Asides from the Cold War and widespread emergence of AIDS, oh yeah!

  • A tune from the days when videogames had music that enhanced the game experience.

  • Don't worry, those days aren't gone, they're just...slumbering.

  • man where I can download this? ^^

It's an arrangement wich doesn't lose the escense of the music, great work man

  • Finally someone recognises the complexity and sheer brilliance of this track and re arranges it. It's my dream to cover this song with my band!

  • I am glad you enjoyed this re-arrangement. Will you be putting your cover up on Youtube one day :-)?

  • I dunno it's kinda subdividing the beat using a harmonic, which is why it sounds pleasing to the ear...best I can think of.

To the poster, is there a HQ version of the mp3 track available?

  • what do you call that technique when they hit the higher notes directly between lower nots on the bass guitar like that?

i love it sooo much ^^

  • Good question. Anyone care to answer?

  • natural harmonics?.

  • i know what you mean slap bass it is when you hit the upeer string with you're thumb and you pluk the interval, you pluk the same note on the 3rs string with you're pinky.

  • god i love that... i wish there was a name for it... i want MOAR

  • me to i love this stuff also.

  • amazing remix of the greatest track from a marvelous game

now where's my Genesis, time to run someone off the road!

  • I was a SNES boy myself. Sonic the Hedgehog and Rocket Knight Adventures aside, I missed out on quite a few great games.

Thanks for watching all the same!

  • I heard the one by Sixto Hounds and loved it and i really really love this, but is from the 20th anniversary Super Hang-On soundtrack or someone's remix?

  • Sixto Sounds actually did an arrangement that sounds similar to this one. Look it up on OCReMix. It's really good.

  • I've been collecting OCRemix's music since, oh, about 2004 and have close to 95% of the songs.

Good stuff indeed. Thank you for stopping by!

  • Thank you so very much. This is like being a child all over again.

  • You're very welcome.

  • I've heard that guitar lick at the end somewhere... is that Eddie Van Halen?

  • I don't think I've ever played the game before, but I can imagine this remix does it a lot of justice. Really cool stuff. I think I'll look for the mp3 now.

  • Funnily enough, neither have I.

I guess it banishes the old thought that only those that play video games like video game music :).

  • Hehe, indeed. There really is some impressive composition to be found in many game soundtracks.

  • thanks ragitsu!

  • You're welcome.

  • i love that fucking bass! this song is just grand!

  • i've been looking for a decent arranged version of this song, but this one is better than I imagined. thank you for the upload!

  • You're welcome.

  • The music has this Sonic Action Theme to it xD

For Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.

  • What system were the Sonic Adventure games for? Other than the music, were they any good?

  • they were for the dreamcast. and yes, they were great.

  • Good !

    Peace :-).

  • Thank you.

  • omg too smooth

  • AWESOME!

  • great song ¡¡¡

  • thats what Im talkin about
