  • Quite impressive

  • what are the names of these marching songs?

  • NIGIRIA IS A VERY RICH CONTRY IN MINIRALS MUST HAVE MUCH BETER ARMY

  • I am impressed by their precision but my question is, why can't they have a standard parade deck like. There is one in a basic training camp in the U.S.

As long as the military dictatorship lasted, they had no vision to pour concrete on the ground. Marching on the ground is not ideal. One kicks up dust and gets ones uniform dirty. Not only that, the dust makes the parade less visible and less of what it actually is.

  • My Dad Commanded the 2002 NADCEL (Nigerian Army Day Celebration). :D its much better in person & they did that in an Army Square (paved ground) with jets flying by and troops parachuting, Tanks, APCs, Bikes etc. Now he's a Brigadier General.

  • @zlyable Nice to hear from you. Congratulations to your dad. I know you are proud of him. Let's get some more Nigerian Army on parade videos up! Bob M Houston Texas USA

  • i miss being in the nigerian military, drill is something they teach you first

  • @kopee35 That is one thing i miss too. Believe me ive been out for ten years now and sometimes i hear myself giving parade commands all by myself

  • @adaviriku Hi Kopee I live in the USA and I hear myself doing the same thing too. It makes me feel "more human" to know someone else is out there doing it too. Best wishes, Bob M Houston Texas

  • Your drill is magnificent. Far better than the US Army. And I am proud to have many American friends from Nigeria here in Houston. The band though does need more musical training to be as good as the rest of the soldiers. :-) Admiration from here. Bob M

  • Am proud of my country...........served as Parade Commander once and believe me, we know how to march!

  • i guess this is cool...never seen an official african nations military so organized...or maybe im just slow on african military stuff..

  • @Evilsnowman2213 They do drill very well. It's the British tradition at work. Bob M

  • there are patches of grass on the field.

  • An Army is an Army, be it US army, Uk army etc. we should be proud of any1 in the military in any part of the world. its not an easy decision to join the army. Hooah....

  • with horses

    "best army"

  • Parading on dust shows how fit and adaptable they are lol?!

I admit nothing wrong with parading on dust. The British Army does it I think when you have the queens birthday or jubilee.

  • Try paving the parade grounds next time. Especially if they are wearing dress uniforms.

  • They are soldiers...Men of all grounds.Parading on dust show how fit and adaptable they are to any condition......Moral High.....

  • i thought the same thing, in the us army(nigerian father) and i have never paraded on dust!

  • there is no shame in parading on dust. i have one video of japanese parading in mud.

  • @armorarmylt . But i am sure u know our weather is different, whats wrong with parading on dust as u called it??

  • @TheBashir85 my man, i have been to Nigeria and understand the weather very well. The Super Eagles play ball on grass right? So why should these fine gentleman parade in dust!.... It is a pass in review, not training...... DRILL IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK PRETTY(thats what it has come to nowadays) thats the entire point. It is to show off your military at its best, not trudging through dust like they are stationed on the moon.

  • @armorarmylt not necessarily so. I have seen one Japanese one where they deliberately parade throught he mud - to make the statement they will go anywhere and endure any hardship. Bob M

  • Hi Friend - I posted this after finding it elsewhere and assemblling it from bits and pieces. The drill is superb and better than anything seen in regular troops in the US army. yes the parade ground needs some grass. Sorry bout that. The band is not so good either. but they appear spirited and competent. Hooah! Bob M

  • @rmorecook yes, but you must remember that drill is really a thing of the past... drill actually exists because it was at the core of battle field tactics. NOT ANYMORE. Yes the US military is lacking in its emphasis on drill and ceremony, but you must also remember that it is without question the most competent and capable fighting force on the planet. But it is still nice to watch drill when performed right, and it should not be on dust for such a wealthy nation,..... grass or hardball surface!

  • @armorarmylt Hi armor I agree with you regarding drill. yet the American Marines drill well, and the the American Army hardly so.

  • nigeria has a huge population and is therefore capable of becoming a strong nation.

  • I LOVE NIGERIA

  • They deserve a better parade grounds. Nice drill. Band, not so good.

  • @drum3433 All this talk about the band not being so good, has anyone thought about the audio quality of this video as a factor?. I have been in and seen many Nigerian Military Parade and can tell you that the bands add colour to them through magnificent performance

  • I am very proud of you all !!!!!!!!!

  • Despite the poor quality of the picture, impressed by the professionalism demostrated by the army...cool.

  • Great parade by the army

    more please!!
