  • too slow

  • gay

  • Напоминает курицу из Робокопа.))))

  • looks like there is a senior citizen driving this thing

  • after 10 years gundam will be born :D

  • either way it's not big enuff

  • It doesn't walk, it just scoots it's wheeled feet... Lame shit.

  • looks like a bad 90's movie

  • looks easy to knock over with a solid push

  • a tank wit lages grate consept work on the balance a few guns and this can go whare no tank can go we have the tec just not the data we need to put this on the feald yet yes ied buy 1 or 1,000,000 does it come super sized

  • FUCK EVERYONE!!

this is litteraly the coolest thing ever!

do i think it will be used on the battle field ever?

    NO

    would it be effective?

probably if it fell on the enemy

but would i like to own one?

    fuck yes!!

  • pfffft! WHEELS!!! :D i'll be empressed when i hear thunderous footfalls -.-'

  • its unstable walking how is it suppose to survive a mortar attack or something

  • So... They have started the Gundam Project lol

  • looks like those things from star wars return of the jedi

  • looks very unreliable, but hey, gota start somewhere i suppose! xD

  • Its the Scooterball 3000

  • This Looks Like Something Out Of The Matrix Revolutions War Against The Machines.

  • jesus...

  • not impressed... a pair of feet with mechanical wheels in them rolling around. when you have onw that lifts the foot, call back. :-D but cool design!

  • even if there were wheels rolling around...keeping that thing stable would be difficult...you could see it wobble around ever time it moves

  • woaaaahhhhh have you taken that thing out on the street?

  • OMGSH!!!! CHROMEHOUND!!!

  • Holy shit METAL GEAR XD lol

  • It's ED 209 haha!!

  • Put down your weapon! You have ten seconds to comply! hahaha

  • As far as a basic proof-of-concept, it works. It's pretty f'ing good.

  • gay robot

  • Once the machines are done fighting do you think people will go - 'you won the chess game so walk right in and take over!' ?

No, after the machine war there will still be a human war!

  • true lol fun and games until the go crazy :)

  • insted of playing around lets put theses mnechs and robots and exoskeltons suits to the test and use them in the war it wouldnt hurt less deaths too

  • It's all fun and games piloting a mech until battle until the enemy cuts your power line.

And then your mech goes berserk.

  • It would be more impressive if it was actually walking.

  • Its not an exoskeleton.. Its a poorly built Mech.

  • I'm sorry but this is retarded. The mech is doing nothing but shuffling forward like ice skating. Anyone who's studied robotics can see that this mech is totally lacking a true walking gate. Did you put 4 motors in this thing and call it a day? It's size is impressive but as far as mechanics it gets an "F".

  • but it has gunz!

  • So? Viper's right its retarded even with guns

  • This is cool and all, but I don't think mechanical limbs are the best.

  • haha this is just some movie prop

  • But it can be made to fulfill combat missions.

  • It just needs some arms with weapons.

  • Fucking amazing, man

  • opps srry i look too the last part of it rofl i though it was animated COOL

  • cool animation it like a at-at or a at-te or a at-st or a v-15 rofl good

  • mech meet LAW, LAW meet mech.

  • kool

  • the idea of mechs is that they are more versatile than conventional artillery. this thing looks less versatile. the feet don't even leave the ground.

  • you have to start somewhere and with founding and a little creative tinkering you could turn any toy into something fearsome on a battle field.

  • yeah, i know what you mean, i would be totally scared of a dalek on the battlefield, at least until i found some stairs.

but toys in general, god, i hope they don't develop the tinky-winky battle droid...

  • dont' push on it, it might tip over.

  • lol. it would be like a tortoise on its back.

  • Hey it AT-AT lol...

  • being honest if these was in its perfect working state would they be any good? it has 2 legs it wouldnt be that hard to floor the sucker ,whats wrong with wheels its faster ,stable more controlable and simple yet we all love wheels cos its a brake from walking,i think these would be over the top and to complex for what they can achive i mean when shot at the most it could do is jump not exactly amazing and thats before it gets tripped over,i could see them replacing forklift trucks though

  • at 15 mph i could see this fallin apart so dont think it will ever get past 10mph and thats pushing it, would need some sort of high magnectic field to hold it together else , but can imagine it still sounding clunky plus the ai would have to be highly advanced to keep the thing stable and know the terrain well,, but yeah is possible but is it practical...hmmmm maybe on mars

  • Thing is with mechs theyd be a lot faster if they could lift there legs of the ground instead of sliding

  • Deploy Oil Slick

  • Why bother with an oil sick? The war would be over by the time that reached the battlefield.

  • its got nothing to due with impossibility numb nuts. It has everything to do with practicality and economics. It wont happen because its impractical, cost in-effective, hard to use, hard to train people to use, and ultimatley too costly to produce not to mention it has too large a profile to be of any actual use on the battlefield. The whole mech idea is equivalent to the freaking jetpack. It isnt going to happen.

  • what advantage would that thing have over a tank?? i would like to see it drive in a windy thunderstorm..it would porbably get blown over.

  • Calm down...its brobably just a prototype..

and obviousely this thing isnt finished...what kind of idiot puts something that looks half finished into the battlefeild?

  • this is like making a pen to write in space...when you could just use a pencil

  • Para ser un prototipo esta bastante

  • What a painful load of crap, it's on bloody rollerskates. Anyone get the feeling that if it was even slightly bumped, it would crash to the ground and kill the pilot? Mechs will never see field application, they are far too impractical... And let's face it, stupid. UAVs and REAL exoskeletons, like the ones manufactured by Berkeley Bionics, there's your future.

  • Your an idiot..obviousely this thing isnt ready!

This mech obviousely will get better...FI its fused with the exoskeleton technology!

    imagine the possiblities!

  • Wrong. Even if they were to somehow improve the actual mechanics of a Mech, the fact still stands that it would be useless in any field of operations. Imagine a well-aimed 105mm AP round hitting one leg, you would have instant hydraulic failure, it would topple over, and the pilot would most likely be killed in the crash. It would be top-heavy and prone to tipping, and an absolute maintenance nightmare, imagine trying to clean sand and fine grit out of it's many complex joints! Useless.

  • ......But lets say the thing has improoved armor....and has a weight of 10 tons???

And instead of having 2 legs we give it 3...

  • Even with 3 legs, and extra armor, the fact still stands that if even one leg was taken out, it could not keep it's balance. Unless some heretofore unknown myoelectric system was used instead of hydraulics, even a slight drop in fluid or pneumatic pressure would mean that it could not move as well, or even at all. I take it you're a fan of mecha shows and such? Some ignorant teenager who desperately wishes he could act out his Gundam fantasies? Get over it and step into reality, kid.

  • Actually fool...I never watch carttons...their crap anyways...

But this mech you critisise is just the beggining of what will become in the future...the mech will be more fast and agile...it will become better...basically...the japanese have the worlds most advanced technology! They can do anything when it comes to robotics! There is another vid with sony robots, their small but they move just like people!!!! You should watch it!!!!

  • Your explanation is a moot point, mechs will never be developed, this isn't even a true mech, you notice how it's feet never leave the ground? It's because it's on wheels, the ability to mimic a human pelvis would take decades of research, and new materials capable of handling the strain. Even though they have smaller 'robots' that can do that, it's because they are light enough that their frames wouldn't collapse under the sheer strain and stress. Try doing that here and see what happens.

  • ahahaha yh obviousely I know its on wheels and that this work is a peice of shit...even at the beggining of the vid you can see that its feet slide so it turns slightly to the side..but mechs will be furture researched into...just wait ans see..

  • Riddle me this, even if they were to somehow make a mech feasible, enable it to keep balance on par with a human, have materials that could handle metal fatigue, and a myoelectric muscle system instead of hydraulics, what possible use would it serve on the front lines of a war? They are walking targets, on stilts that could be easily broken. A conventional MBT could out-fire, not to mention be very dangerous to a mech, and could be out-maneuvered by any well-trained infantry. I repeat, useless.

  • First of all...a myoelectric signal could be used from that of a human to the mech...Secondly have you seen fat people? My friend dislocated his knee while running because of his wieght! So if a mech were to be heavy its frame would collapse under the sheer strain and stress. Right? But if the mech were able to remove the strain it wouldent collaps...now for the armor...im not saying at this point we just wire it some gear and put it on the battlefield! We make some kind of "smart armor"

  • How would a mech be able to somehow remove the strain of several tons of weight resting on it's joints and "bones?" Would it have some magical method of somehow negating it's weight? That's absolutely ridiculous, your explanations for how a mech would become feasible have become absurd and borderline fictional, so far you've put forth the idea that it would be a three-legged, multi-ton, nanomachine armored, myoelectric, neuro-controlled walker. That's just... stupid. I laugh at your non-realism.

  • ahahah there you go again...its not impossible...this will just take time...remember..people thought going to the moon was impossible...and they also thought that making clones of animals was impossible!

  • Also by "smart armour" I mean a type of armour just like the flesh and skin of a human!

So if it is hit it detects the impact and damage...and literally repairs the damage done as much as possible! But of course make the armour impregnable, so if a mech were to be as advanced as a human being it would be very useful for taking out the front lines of enemy soldiers!

  • Video game logic does note equal real life logic, you're talking a controlled, self-repairing armor most likely composed of nanomachines. Current research would indicate this would take centuries to make, we would also need to install an AI program capable of controlling these nanomachine's actions, to ensure that they do not reproduce at a rate too high to manage. Where are you getting the materials necessary for repair anyway? Magic? You gonna lug around an extra few tons of metal for repair?

  • Ah there you go again....nanomachines...its not impossible..and i didnt say we could create this in a few years...it would take centuries but the point is that its possible!

  • So basically picture a giant with impregnable armour for flesh with super strength and speed...if a tank were to shoot it...nothing...but the mech would be also equipped with better weapons...So it completely destroys the tank...being able to crush enemies and other land vehicles...being a dangerous threat to planes and helicopters!

Just like anti-aircraft guns or rocket launchers. So if a large impact hits its legs nothing would happen...and it would still keep its balance.

  • Yes, but how exactly would we be able to manufacture mechanisms capable of giving this multiple ton, heavily armored machine "Super strength and speed?" And for that matter, do you know of ANY materials capable of withstanding prolonged damage from weapons fire? Not even ceramic coated titanium armor is that strong. The "Better weapons" would most likely throw the mech off balance as well, if not knock it off of it's feet if it was capable of destroying a tank in one hit. Think realistically.

  • ah there go you.."Think realistically"

Well before people thought you couldent go to the moon.....and look at us now..

also the titanium could be modified...just like the genetic code people animals...to be stronger..

  • Not only that, but to qualify as a 'powered exoskeleton' it would need to be much smaller, and connected directly to the user's body, like armor. Put some actual thought into this before you call someone an idiot. Maybe you won't fail so hard at backing up your point next time, OK?

  • "To qualify"...your such a fool...it dont need to be small...it just needs to be something the user could control which goes around their body...like armor...but much bigger...Now I know for sure your an idiot..."to qualify"....

  • Okay, it's quite obvious that you know absolutely nothing about the mechanics of a "Powered exoskeleton." An exoskeleton needs to be controlled by direct input from an operator's limbs, not by manipulation of joysticks/steering. It's clear that this fake mech is controlled by a method other than the movement of it's user's arms or legs. As such, it is a two-legged walker, not an exoskeleton. Put some intelligence into your responses next time, not an overabundance of elipses and poor grammar.

  • Look...have you seen the other exoskeletons?

They Look alot like robots but smaller than this mech...this mech if made like an exoskeleton where the user has to clumb into it but the users legs move into the mechs legs and arms into the mech arms...that would make it a big exoskeleton..like armor..so its like those people who walk on long sticks..

  • A few decades behind Star Wars robotics, and a few centuries behind Star Wars weapons...

  • this things a piece of shit

  • woah dat's vey cool!

yeah just fix the walking and add more weapons like gattling gun and multiplae missile lauchers and then... BOOM!!! have fun!!! missile barrage!!! and shooting enemies with unlimited ammo soo exciting!! tadadadada boom!!! I want one of that!

  • that shit look so big and stupid. Looks more like a target. I hope who ever made is ashamed of themselves. hm hm ha ha!

  • why is it so slow;, like you cant go were is the speed? very real and amazing but, with some imagenation could it have speed and hoover abilty? Why weapons is this a tool for destruction or for the betterment of mankind? If you make for killing then you forget the law of moses thall shalt not kill, Jesus said do to others as you would your self ; do you want a greater inteligent force to intemidate you and threaten to kill by flashing weapons or even using them? ? The imagenation is from God.

  • I consider it to be a tool for the betterment of self defense. We don't have to use it to blindly murder people, but just incase another country wants to try to rape our churches and burn our women, we need to keep them at bay, and this is just the beginning of the tools that will help us do just that. What you said is true though, I just think self defense is a worthwhile endeavor to develope technology in. Amen brother, Amen:P

  • what about turn the other cheek and put it in Gods hands if Jesus wanted to he could put a force field around any one us that truely had faith in him and his teaching. I think that God shows favor. Faith is the strongest thing in the world. What if someone stepped out in faith and really trusted in him holding on;waiting for his intervention? meck robots are for a future generation that flying into space is commen knowledge, exploring, sight seeing and learning from others worlds.Trust in Jesus.

  • Trust me man. All my faith is in Jesus. But I think the bible says: "He does for those who do for themselves." I could be wrong, I'm not an expert, but I think it says that. And I think turning the other cheek is the hardest thing to do, other than trying not to curse. Thanks for the lesson though. It is inspiring:P

  • As much as we wish those fictional books teachings' could be realised, you have to understand that nobody will ever get along or play nicely with anyone else. So before you go preaching peace and pacifism, remember 9-11 and Bush, and the 'war' in Iraq. We need to solve the problems of today before we can solve the problems of tomorrow. If that can only be realised through the application of a .50 cal MG to an 'insurgent' then so be it.

  • Holy crap awesome!! Put some working M14's on that thing and you'll have yourself a walking death machine. Just fix the stepping a bit!

  • nah forget little rifles... chuck on a minigun on one side, a revolver type grenade launccher on the other, and a stinger launcher on the top :D

  • Yeah. What are we even doing in war now. Soldiers fighting by hand is sooooo last year. Now all the cool countries fight with giant mechs and robots. Good old human flesh and bone....naahhhhhh...we got metallic death machines:P

  • lolll

  • It's not even walking. It's shuffling.

Walking means at least one foot leaves the ground at some point.

  • Lol cool

  • It's possible to build a working mech but no Super power has shown interest in making one(that we know of)

  • damn it just slides it cant lift its legs

  • yeah very lame, reminds me of that shitty show called Robot Wars, lol what a joke of a name, they're pretty much your average 4 wheeled vehicle with a stupid moving hammer on top, I hate that show

  • looks like it'd be easy to trip.

  • not amusement only this will definately be applied in war.. the future is now and anything that science fiction can come up with will one day be reality

  • Damn crazy japs!

  • aaaah bf2142 has come

  • Wow a real life METALGEAR!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is made in Japan.

    Amusement only.

  • lol 1 rpg round and there goes your million dollars

  • Yeah thats gotta suck

  • if it was a real mech, USA will take the plans and improve em

  • Maybe u wanna say that your sweet USA would steal the plans, spend huge amounts of moneys, and they would still have a failure..hmm, kind of with what everything they stole. USA doesnt improve plans, they only steal, and maybe(just maybe) they could improve on other countries back.

  • Oh hush.

  • i kinda i agree with johnn2400 with the stealing plan part only.. i mean i remember when dey send a robot on mars and the design of the robot was from Philippines dat won in the competition..but when dey put it to the test dey said it was NASA who invented the whole thing. der wer also ader stuff but i cant rememeber. sorry dude, i don't hate America or anything, i love american ppl except the person who runs the courtry..lol

  • ...showing your ignorance... lol.

The "person who runs the country" are the American people. We are the ones who make or break the rules because we are the ones with the responsibillity in our hands. Another thing, Nasa may be funded by the government but it far and wide civilian.

  • ok if Americans is running the country, who decided to declare war? i'm pretty sure no American would want der love one fighting? if its American responsibility, then Iraq ppl suppose to blame american ppl, of course not, this is just one man doing, not american ppl,? n der the one suffering(9/11) and der only one person who decide, and did american have a vote whether u wanted a war or not?no!!

  • it would be nice if evry country decision is by ppl, especially when u endangering evry1 lives, but no,HIS the president. dey dont give him dat title for nothing. and dont call me ignorant ok.

i dont call u anything, n u dont know anything bout me

    PEACE :D

  • did American ppl wanted all this places bomb? NO!

  • Actually yes. Where do you live? I might ask for a present to dropped off at your place. When are you normally home?

  • 2 urass street NSW Australia, make sure u spell it right , oh yeah..Australia IS a country. im home sat and sun..unlike u i DO have a job.

  • LMAO you live on ur ass? Only in Australia

  • lmao.. u cant read..only in america

  • this mech sucks, and needs improvement, it's almost as if it has a stick up it's robot ass lol

  • Was this real if was it is Way cool wish there was sound though.

  • what do you mean IF it was real? it IS real, it just doesn't have real bipedal movement, it might aswell just have engine powered rollerskates on its feet, it would probably work better that way

  • lmfao. well you never know what the future will bring .
