  • Me and my old man put the bodywork right on this in 2007... He passed away in September that year having just finished repairing 31 162... RIP Dad. It's good to see it out running!

  • Nice video. I'm considering one of these cameras. Was your camera hand held or mounted on a tripod?

    Larry

  • Yes, I have one, the same as they show here.

Theres a screw on the camera ,where can atach

the piece of the tripod, and adapt at tripod, is very easy to made.

  • great quality on this. I think I like the sound of the class 31 out of all the diesel engines

  • 31 108, the ELR's clagster !

  • Great video, some nice thrash.

  • I have samsung R50 with 1.73 GHz and 2 GB of RAM and it also has microsoft office and window media player. I cannot even get the window media player to run at all when I try to edit the footage. Any advice. I closed all programs. System is reported as in healthy condition. It's capacity is 48. Now has about 30 G space. Any advice?

  • Unfortunately not, I am not that technically minded.

Hopefully someone reading this will be able to help..

  • The video files might have recorded in .MOV (Apple Quicktime) format. You need to convert them to a Microsoft recognised format (.AVI, .WMV, etc...). Google 'MP4cam2AVI', and you'll find a free video converter that's easy to use. Hope this helps!

  • nice..hey how long did u have to wait until ur vid was available in high quality on youtube?

  • All depends on how busy youtube is.

Sometimes, depending on size of vid, only takes about 10 minutes, then another time I got bored waiting so went to bed!!

Was there in the morning though

  • I like the quality, its pretty clear picture.

  • This video was taken with the Canon, aswell as the 'comparison' video.

The others were all taken with Sony MiniDV cams, but when put into Windows Movie Player at high quality of 2gb per hour, then compressed to just below the youtube 100mb limit.

I did use Pinnacle Studio for a couple of the videos though..

    Hope this helps

  • Is this a PAL version?

  • It looks really good! Did you put contrast and/or sharpening in post production?

You should do some test burns with on a DVD to help you decide. Once it's on a TV, you can see if the larger screen will greatly affect quality.

If you are going to use it mostly for YouTube, I think this camera is great for that...

    Good luck.

  • Cheers, thank you very much!!

As you can see by my other vid on here, i wasnt quite taken with this camera so its going back!!

Will look into getting another one though!!

    Cheers for now!

  • Did you take your vids in High Quality? There are other vids on here that are absolutely breathtaking. Great quality. There is a distinct difference between Standard quality and High Quality, so that would be according to the speed you shot your vid etc. :-)

  • nice footage 5*
