  • in 2010 i would take the comero ovr the mustang.

    but the 2011 modle is better then comero.

    i generaly dont like how gm is useing a 16valv engin ovr the 32 ford.

    4cylinders use 16v

    not big v8s.

  • Hopefully the Camaro does not have a transmission made in China like the 2011 Mustang GT.......maybe soon the way things are going. One day in the not so distant future there will be nothing made in the USA any longer.

  • I miss the Trans Am and Camaro SS from 1993 to 2002.......this new Camaro is so booring in styling!! :-(

    And the base Camaro 2010 has only 3,6L with 300 HP..............come on, I want to see CUBIC!! I love the 5,7L V8 with 305 HP!! Back to the roots!!

    I had an '00 SLP Firehawk before my vette and I think the new camaro ss is much better looking than my old hawk.

    I hear almost everyone saying the new camaro styling is the absolute opposite of boring. It's a pretty wild looking machine if you ask me. I know you wrote this a year ago... Maybe it grew on you?

  • These are the slowest track times I've seen out of all the tester's i.e. MotorTrend, Road and Track etc. etc.

  • that 0-60 time is sad... when the Camaro's and Trans-am's of 19 years ago was only half a second slower at 5.5. and only had 230 hp and waighed 4,000 pounds. cars now adays are getting to soft for my liking. Horsepower doesn mean anything these days... exept for braging rights.

  • The only thing that ever holds me back from these pony cars though has to be handling I've driven the Mustang and Challenger and they both have terrible or no handling is the Camaro really any better Its the only of the main pony cars I've never driven

  • The All New, All Aluminum 5.0L Ford is a DOHC Producing about 402 HP and 398 lb-ft, it's called the Coyote, and will be available in the Mustang GT the Summer of 2010

  • come on guys! 0-60 times on the inetrnet is soo bullshit! i saw 4.8sec to 5.5 sec for the ss camaro so every one tests the car is different. and it depends on the weather,etc etc...! why are you arguing for tents of seconds? im a chevy guy but i have to admit the stang is really a great balanced car! the 2010 camaro is so nice too but every one his own...chevy guys like chevy's even if they are slower or faster ! ford guys are the same thing.....

  • I think they had the traction control on during the 0-60 run. The wheels were losing grip and stopping.

  • Nice package; my 2008 STI beats it's 0-60 and 1/4 mi times, of course the slalom and braking too.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong doesn't the new camaro have the same performance stats as the one from 2002 and the new one has a little over 110hp on the old one I think it needs a diet.

  • The Mustang is more like 5.5 dude, be real and Motortrend got around 4.8 with the Camaro.

  • InsideLineVideo got 5.1 on the Mustang so why you telling me to be real? Motortrend gets BS times. Every video they do is different times. Even if it got 4.8 that is slow for a fucking 6.2L engine. Ford is beasting with their 4.6L. Their 5.0 will be pushing 400+HP just goes to show you who makes the better engines. 85 HP increase from .4 litters? Imagine how much power they would get from a 6.2L like Chevy.

  • Hey..umm..2 different drivers get 2 different times, and some people drive better than others. If you want to talk power then do a rolling start from 50mph-140mph. If the 4.6 is so good why does it have about the same HP rating as a 1998-02 Z28/TA in the year 2009?

  • Maybe because they don't want to increase the horsepower a lot? If they wanted to have more power they would build a bigger engine. They didn't have any competition. Now that the Camaro came out they will improve their engine to an all aluminum 5.0L. Chevy just stuffs a big engine into a big car and makes it fast. Ford can do that with a smaller engine.

  • I like both Ford and Chevy but i agree. 426w/400lbs tq. and a 13.1 its still runs with an 03-04 cobra.I know it competes and beats new models but they should of just put 500 hp in there and make it compete with the gt500. Then they could of made a z28 model with 350-380 hp. and appeal to a broader audience and make the SS seem like top of the line. I think Chevy needs to not rush the next model and change the interior, offer good accessories to make it stand out from V6 camaro then its good.

  • Because it has 426 HP, has a big burly V8, runs 13.1 1/4s stock, and it STILL gets 26+ miles per gallon? Honda Civic's barely get better mileage with less displacement, power, etc.

  • youre missing the point, the car has 426hp and ONLY gets 13s in the 1/4th. That means it is overweight like half of the americans in the U.S.

  • good luck finding a SS at 32 grand. Dealers mark these to 40ish and people are buying. But this isn't a volume car so GM won't make big money to pay us taxpayers back. Still a sweet car though.

  • good point its sooo true...anyone who buys a gm after they took OUR money to stay alive due to their shitty car they chose to make, is an idoit!!

  • GM's money woes had less to do with there product quality but more to do with there investment strategy... GMAC Home Finance crumbled along with the rest of the housing market. The only plus is there refocus to build more quality cars instead of 3 or4 across there product line.

  • Are you kidding me? people stopped buying their cars because of how poor they were made, and how they needed to repair them. If gm wasn't so deep into the rental car game, they woulda been done for sure. I still won't buy a gm EVER!

  • People stopped buying them because of a variety of reasons, in which reliability wasn't even the main factor. In fact, American companies tend to be in the upper tier. If you want cheap reliability, get a Euro car, they tend to have worse ratings.

  • That would be true if all manufactures did not see a huge drop in sales both foreign and domestic. There is no doubt that GM has a lot to do to erase there sins of the 70's thru to the 90's but there current crop of cars are working toward that.

  • Too bad the manual doesn't have the cylinder deactivation feature like the automatic does. It helps save just a little gas when cruising on the freeway. Other than that, awesome car. I wish I had the money to buy one.
