  • did you loose any back pressure from deleting the cats? Do you need to tune the air/fuel ratio?

  • i did this and added a Borla Pro XS and i get the p0430 code.

  • @gatorboy1990 What does your defiition of 'better; mean? Toned? louder? Straight pipes sound like hick trash in my opinion, Flowmaster does not flow the best, sounds alright but the 2 chambered mufflers flap a bit. The Super 10 series sounds pretty damn nice though I will say. But I would re-do this setup over straights & Flowmaster.

  • @gatorboy1990 Yes, 45 degree exits behind both wheels will be a hint louder since it guides the sound to the surrounding areas, and the sound can rumble through buildings.

  • i have the rear cat's deleted on mine. but my life went off even with a non fouler. but your truck sounds great. i love the sound of mine.

  • how did u delete the rear cats?

  • @twfish2013 Cut them right out, fitted pipe and adapters in, welded in place.

  • @DarrenWS6 k i wasnt sure if it was electronical like the new powerstrokes. and i plan on takin all the exhaust on mine even getting new headers and straight piping it with a 6 inch pipe and running it out the sides before the wheels with an 8 inch tip

  • nice sounding but i just put a dual exhaust on my 02 f150 with a magnaflow and its a lil bit louder and a whoole lot deeper

  • @sandman130z Doubt it was much louder, camcorders dont pick up the sound exact, and this truck is now running 12" Dynomax Bullets.

  • i think the camera man blew his "load"

  • went with the Magnaflow! NICE!!! sounds amazing!!!

  • Holy shit dude that sounds nice

  • @cstmx156 thank you much appreciated.

  • sounds sexy

  • that sounds sweet man!

  • thanks

  • sounds nice, how mush did it cost?

  • thanks, hit 'more info' and see

  • ok, thanks man

  • what's your gas mileage look like man? i'm debating whether to go with a gas engine or go diesel and get a superduty

  • With my light foot driving 15 - 16 city, 17 - 18 average, and 20.4 highway at 70mph with A/C on.

  • How much of a increase in horse power did you get? (if you know)

  • Not a whole lot, but a WOT stomp before barely screeched the tires, after wards it did a bit longer.

  • I'm more the Chevy Silverado fan, but this F-150 really sounds nice!!

  • thanks.

  • how did u get the back cats taken off? the muffler shop guy in my town said i couldnt do that to mine. did u do it urself? pls let me knw

  • I removed them myself and replaced with pipes, clamped it, then took it so a shop a few months later to get it all welded.

  • ok, thanks alot man

  • Hey Darren. You got a couple exhaust leaks after you took them things off. Not criticizing or anything man. She sounds badass. But just to make it sound alot better try to get them clamps taken off and get the pipe welded on not clamped.

  • I know that and discovered it shortly. I'll take care of it someday.

  • Sounds pretty sweet

  • Thanks.

  • Now there's what a truck should sound like. One of the nicest modular Ford V8s I've ever heard. It's nice to finally hear a newer Ford truck that doesn't have that echoish hollow Mustang exhaust sound.

I'm a Pushrod Ford V8 man myself, but these newer V8 engines are growing on me.

  • thank you. They're pretty sweet, have quite a unique sound to them.

  • i like straight pipes with no mufflers and no cats.

  • ah, i'll never run no cats or no mufflers.

  • That sounds awsome man! I'm thinkin of puttin the same thing on mine but with longtube headers and the round body magnaflows instead but I do like that sound alot

  • thanks. that would sound good. Especially the LTs

  • Man thats sounds good, like music to my ears lol.

  • lol thank you.

  • yeah glasspacks are for 60's era cars not new model trucks unless your a redneck! lol

  • whats wrong with rednecks

  • if you removed the rear cats then it wont pass emmissions thats cool sounds good but a little to raspy to much "snap crackle pop"

it would have been cheaper to just put a pice o shit glass pack on it

  • I dont have emissions. Thanks. I think it sounds perfect. It will crackle when a little cold as any direct flowing exhaust would, and rasp a tad too. I would never insult my truck by adding a glasspack to it....

  • that sound makes me cream automatically.

  • Can you help me a little bit, I'm trying to find the rear cats (05 F-150 XLT 5.4 3V) I only see 2 cats (Maybe I just missed it as I didn't jack the truck up (kinda lazy) I have a cherry bomb glass back on there already (Pops atm, I think theres an exhaust leak) and I want a more bolder sound and a little louder but IMable

  • Your truck most likely has just the two fat cats. 2005.5+ trucks have 2 bigger cats, 1997 - early 2005 trucks have 4.

Swap that glasspack for a Flowmaster Super 44 or a small Magnaflow.

  • It was made in Sep '05, When I was putting the cherry bomb on I only saw 2 that's why i'm like wtf (I've been hearing about 4 for a while)

  • yeah, 2005 was the last year for the 4 cat system. '05s built in 2004 have 4, '05s built in 2005 have two big ones. I'm kind of happy I had the 4 because removing my rears was a much more affordable route to get hi-flow cat benifets.

  • Yeah, thanks Time to go the spendy route, and thanks for clearing that up, How much does the flow master or megna flow cost?

  • Depends what your after. My truck sounds really aggressive for having Magnaflow mufflers. If you want to maintain performance and great fuel economy, get a 14" body si/do Magnaflow, part #12198. Or if you like the real aggressive loud sound a tad louder than your glasspack, the Flowmaster Super 44 should suit you, part #9430452. Search up some videos on here to help find what you like, i'll help you further if you would like also.

  • Hey it sounds real good, it has a clean "rough" sound to it, I wanted something that sounded a little dirtier on my truck so I removed all the cats!! Check it out.

  • thanks. yours sounds pretty good too

  • Nice sound.....well im 16 and just got my first car...what do i need to make mine sound like this....just a muffler and tips????? and how much would it be

  • If your first car is an F150 or a full size truck yeah. Read the description for the specifications on the exhaust, I listed the part numbers and prices.

  • No its not an truck...its a crown vic

  • Well i'm not educated with those cats, but the mufflers would be a good touch.

  • love the sound. now my wife wants ours to sound like that. what kind of pipes u using. aluminumized stainless or regular.

  • Thank you. I wish it was stainless, I dont think its aluminized cause on my old truck my Flowmasters rusted worse than the pipes, so its basic steel piping. $230 for it to be mandrel bent and installed, pretty good price I think.

  • How much does it cost to fill her up?

  • at $3.60 a gallon, i put $70 in today and went from a hair below 1/4 and got it up to 3/4, 35 gallon tank. Average of $120 - $150 filled

  • sounds awesome!

  • That sounds much better with the rear cats gone! Nice work!

    Carl

  • Yeah man it sure does. I gotta get some new fly by videos and take offs. Very happy with it. Thanks!

  • love those tips

  • Thank you. Rolled edge side exit is one of my favorite style exits on a truck

  • Nice Decal on that right rear window too!

  • Thanks man, hell yeah it is!

  • Hell Yeah Bro! Sounds Awesome!

  • sounds good man.. good job.. TIM

  • thanks man.

  • Is this the 5.4? Sounds good.

  • yep. 5.4L 3v

  • Sounds SICK Darren! Very nice setup.

  • Thank ya!

  • f'n sweet dude!!!!!!!

  • Thanks Ty!
