Great to have this recording as an example while learning this transcription. Ms Hewitt did take a little bit of liberty at the end and I think that was a pianistic decision indeed. What a wonderful job projecting the chorale in the inner voices.. boy that is difficult when the voicings are very close.

This gave me great joy to hear. The legato of the chorale would be admirable in a singer and is astonishing on the piano.

Beautiful! Normally Bach on a piano sounds like hitting boulders with sledge hammers, but this transcription and performance are really wonderful.

Angela Hewitt is in my opinion a world-leading Bach interpreter on piano. You should also listen to "Sheep may safely graze" on the same record as this piece.
