I thought relics unlocked outfits, or is it that in Tomb Raider Underworld you get the outfits as you progress through the game?

Relics increase yer health?! why am I finding this out now that I've beaten the game?? lol, oh well, it will come in handy when I attempt to beat it on the hardest settings
