  • I was wondering about that when I saw this big fella....poor guy could barely walk.

  • Well, he trys to mate. He is an old man though, must be in his mid twenties, unheard of in the wild.

  • This Lion (Lionel) is old. He gets all kinds

of stiffness in his joints. But Lions live a

lot longer in captivity, and experience old age.

  • My 16-year-old tomcat acts the same way. Giving him catfood and/or supplements containing glucosamine help him alot though.

  • he was drunk

  • If someone doesn't help this situation.they will have a huge lawsuit

  • Actually, he is not sick. He was a "pet" and his owner cruelly declawed him. Because of the declawing, he has arthritis in his paws which sometimes causes him pain. That is why he is walking gingerly around the exhibit. He gets medication and has a heated pad to help with the pain. Some days are better than others. He still feels well enough to breed his mate several times a day :-)

I paid this big boy a visit yesterday....despite his horrific ordeal he's one magnificent cat and seems to enjoy putting on a show for his "audience". Didn't hear him roar but he sure struck some magificent poses for my camera!

  • Zoos are just another form of animal cruelty..F@!&ed Up

  • i think he might be a little sore from all the action he got the night before...

did you see his old lady just laying there next to the rock?
