for those who are making suggestions (im not saying you're wrong) remember that the command sequence might be different for this area's ROTC units. For example, I am the color guard commander of a unit in Area 11. (Southern California) and our commands require us to trim the colors and call cut. our turns arent called "Wheels" for us they are called Turns(i.e. Right Turn, March). Wheels for us are 180 degrees turns. But remember if your flag doesnt make it in the harness it has to stay there. =)
You know I would have used those commands if they were in the sequence. Plus check the date. Those commands for regulation was not available back in 2006. The cut command is new and I have never heard of the command trim. So yea.
haha man i wish i could go back in an NJROTC uniform and compete against you. Too bad i graduated already though. All these people in here have graduated as well. But if we did get back together to compete it would be pretty awesome!.
wow...army standards are stricter, you hold flag w/ two hands and you don't dress to the center and don't march like a complete moron, and you dont say "right wheel hhurch" and no counter-columns, you do colors reverse
Ahmmm that's the Army standards. They are Navy JROTC their field manual is different from the Army. Look up the video description before you start correcting them.
Yeah I know. Air Force does it completely different. It's much slower, and we halt before each wheel turn. Also, we only carry two flags - the American Flag and the Air Force/California Flag. Well at least that's how our AFJROTC does it.
ya you guys did go to monterey county drill meet right? my school hosted it. seaside high. this year i think its your school hosting it. well cant wait 2 beat your drill team with arms again =]
What Department of Armed Forces are they? Are they in Navy JROTC they look different from US Army JROTC and they have a lot of mistakes. But nice color guard.
ur color guard commander he's loud and i can tell u guys must practice alot but made a few mistakes but ur all good. makes me want to join my color guard in school
your rifle bearer on the right when facing camera was kinda ick. are those rifles those ones you can get on ebay for like 60 bucks that way 4 lbs or drill america??
That was cool!! i cant wait when NJROTC school starts in Alveraz high. i signed up a few months back. its goin to be kick ass. well any way look me up when school starts at the end of summer. my names is Jason Roy, and i look forword to seeing u guys this year.
really really good.. couple things.. use ready cut. if u wana go to navy nationals i would highly suggest you use it. second, does your school use drill america rifles? if so wow. i hope u guys got daisys or something
2) not supposed to look down at holster when putitng flag in.
3) wtf is up with the way u guys march? modified nazi march.
4) riflemen were really nice and sharp.
overall out of 10, id give a 7. i have some credibility. my dads a retired naval officer. rank? lieutenant commander, 3 gold stripes. he was a judge for these things.
