I grew up at Lunt & Sheridan, and lived there from the late 50's until 1974. An amazing neighborhood that will always be home. We also had that wonderful, large swimming pool one block to the east.
In the late 60's, the west side of Glenwood was mainly a wasteland . There was Bert's barbershop (my shop) There was Sol's fish market..and a club where men played cards. The windows were all colored. My uncle once spoke about how the cops got wind & raided the place. A lot of empty stores.
