It's been a few years since I last listened to this. I can't express how sad this particular track makes me right now. This album was a true masterpiece.
It's ridiculous how many similarities to heroin this song has again....so like kurt. He didn't want anyone to know that was what it was about probably. I'm formerly addicted to heroin....this song has it written all over...laxatives (to get the shit out when you withdraw), talk of anemia (cause heroin makes you anemic and eventually not care about eating), sio tired you can't sleep....withdrawal (most exhausted ever...can't rest, restless hell)...etc.etc.etc.
well im not conviced kurt killed himself, i mean people say he had too much herion in his system, but thats not true, he did 400 dollars of heroin a day for months at a time, but he was so bipolar about everything, on a good day he was happy to be alive, but another day he would get so pissed at everyone around him, its just a fuckin mystery lol!
people who say Nirvana is overrated are basically the types of people who are annoyed with anything popular or successful. though nirvana did not pioneer this kind of music, they definitely are to thank for it's mainstream success, and music from bands like sonic youth and greg sage from the wipers owe so much to Nirvana for helping their generation of music become exposed 5 to 15 years after the fact. I was 14 when Kurt died, I still remember it like it was yesterday.
yeah, i understand you man, but they did were a bit comercial and I hate theire comercial side, but actually only teen spirit, I like everything else, but the "comercial side of teen spirit"....
no its not necesarily bad, but kurt hated that, he didnt wanted all that fame only wanted to find his true fans, and yeah I totaly agre with you, but, if your beleve he killed himselfe, well that was one of the main reasons, he didnt wanted that fame...
@fsfsfsfsfsfsg i think he was REALLY REALLY high when he kille dhimself though. i know he had major problems, and had always talked about suicide, but i don't think he would have done it if he wasn't under the influence, and for so many reasons.
@AlphabetSoupCircus well actually theres some ancient records of some relatives of Kurt that killed themselves (well at least I read that, it said that her sister which is a nurse said that) but that not enough still and well Im not sayin he killed himselfe he did had no much reasons even after what he was passing though but well Im actually opend to new theories!
@fsfsfsfsfsfsg When I was a heroin addict...the guilt, the fear of withdrawal, the feeling of being trapped yet wanting to stop, the mood swings, etc. etc.....made me want to kill myself. It's a surreal feeling of distance from the world despite being in it...the more I look into Kurt's lyrics and behavior the more I can see the clinical and surreal psycholgoical aspect of heroin use....only a user would understand.
@subpop200 ok are you sayi ng he WASNT a heroin adicct??? becaus if you are , your fuckign lost because kurt himselfe admit it, although he tried to quit. and if you are saying he did used them DONT FUCK ME!!!! because thats what Ive been sayning all along that this song is pretty much about drugs and how you get involved etc... and I belive that even I was never an adicct thats totaly irrelevant
@fsfsfsfsfsfsg Dude first off lol...calm down. This is no reason to get so mad. I don't get why people get all riled up over comments on youtube...it's not a big deal. And I'm definitely not saying he isn't a drug addict, I'm saying he is cuase the way he writes lyrics make it very obvious that he was a heroin user...he seems to go deep into the psychology and intensity of heroin use in a very poetic and dark manner. Definitely not saying he wasn't. I love Cobain man.
@subpop200 I'm also stressing how well he understood heroin use because it's almost romantic and incredibly deep how he describes the symptoms revolving around heroin in such a subtle, poetic, and complex manner through incredible use of words. I'm saying, it's amazing how he described it...no one understood it better than him cause he himself was a heroin user and it really shines a light on the dark world of heroin use the way he writes about it. It's really powerful and deep how he puts it
@subpop200 Why are you so angry btw brother? I'm sure Cobain would never approve of his fans going at each other's throats for nothing really. Peace brother. That's what it's all about.
@subpop200 oh no no,sorry if you thought I was mad... I was just putting emphasis in some wrds (some peolpe dont get it in other way XD). and yeah , I mean hes lyrics are abstract but if you listen closely, you can easily interpretate, not only lyrics but any abstract thing, because theres nothign thats just a bunch of things said randomly (onless you unporposely do it) theres a deep reason for the things you think... ( i should know I "write stuff") but well hope everythings ok man :)
@RaVexChainz You're even dumb'er for thinking thata changes anything, for calling one guy people, and you haven't even seen me! you dont know me...and you dont have to belive me or belive in his suicide, thats something else... but you cant deny the fact that he used drugs... he said it himself, and I dont see why he wouldnt talk about that ina song... the wholw In utero is about his life... can tell by the verry first song talking about his parents divorce and how hes tired of fame...
@fsfsfsfsfsfsg Why are you so angry btw brother? I'm sure Cobain would never approve of his fans going at each other's throats for nothing really. Peace brother. That's what it's all about.
@CanadianHomeGold after i shuffle off this mortal coil to curse earth harsh soil no longer will the birds in fligth gain with gastly eyes. anyway he said something about engegy being complete and that which never completes its goal is suffered to suffer it eternal.
@fanofthemusic1090 The last creation is always their best, for they know the time is coming for them especially him. He put what he had left of his soul and body into this album.
Yeah I definetly like this one better then Unplugged, not saying that Unplugged sounds bad but I like the kick this song has to rock and the thrashy guitar

fsfsfsfsfsfsg 1 year ago
@fsfsfsfsfsfsg "comercial" doesnt mean bad, its actuall good, comercial is only bad when a band compremises there sound.
NIRVANA = still stayed grunge, didnt compromize there sound = GOOD
METALLICA = compromized there sound, were no longer metal = BAD
GREENDAY early 90's = when they made dookie, they turned comercial but did not sell out, beccause there were still punk = GOOD
GREENDAY 00's = baddd greenday were no longer a punk band and changed there sound in a bad way = BAD
