I remember passing through Moab? somewhere from around I live, which is Northen AZ, and gong home through (Moab I believe) a beautiful desert scenery. The song perfectly fits the moment. everytime I listen to this song it reminds me traveling with my parents and I think of natural beauty that surounds my home. Great Song. The haunting melody, the perfectly matched lyrics, and all of the instrumentation in this is just one of his very best songs that reached a chord in my heart! Well, I think it is the pain of their inner struggle that compels them to create as a form of catharsis or healing. I am an astrologer and Dan had a very challenging astrological chart that he turned into magic.........it is up to each person how they handle the hand they are dealt. His choices and talent reflect his inner struggles that he turned into enchantment.
I emigrated from Lebanon to go to college in the late 70's, where there were no i-pods or You-Tube--just radio stations. It was a good day when they played his song(s). I would stay in the car and not leave until the song ended. Some of my dates found that endearing. I will always miss Dan.
