hi, umm i am going to buy a iMac soon and im getting the 21.5" 3.06GHz one with 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB of Ram i think 1TB of hard drive space (1,000 GB) ATI Radeon HD 4670 (including 256MB)
do you think i can install&play pc games like left 4 dead 2 / tomb raider underworld / assassins creed etc. recently out games on it using bootcamp on imac?
Hi can i ask something :P some advise as i see you are gaming on a imac ... so here i comes ! . : I wanna buy a new imac the specs are 2.66Ghz Intelcore 2 Duo 2gb ram (butiwannachanceto4gb) 350 gb & ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO met 256 MB.
So is this anygood if u run bootcamp because i wanna play games like : World of warcaft , Guildwars 2 ( comming 2009 ) , Asassins creed , The new prince of persia game , The sims.
Thanks for the comment! You should be good to go, especially if you bump it up to 4 gigabytes of ram. Before I purchased my 3.06Ghz iMac I was looking at the same configuration as you're looking at now, and it was shown to be able to play Bioshock. WoW or Guildwars 2 shouldn't be a problem, and it will run Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia, just maybe not on the highest settings. Thanks for watching!
great to hear someone who really likes the Source engine games as well. Half-Life original has to be my favorite game. For my source games i use wine though. The only games i use windows for is Left 4 Dead and Gears of War.
Nice! I'll have to try using Wine because switching to Windows can be a pain sometimes. I checked out your channel and it looks like you have a pretty sweet setup - I've been thinking about picking up Gears of War and it looks like it runs really well. I have Left 4 Dead for Xbox 360 but I've been thinking about picking it up for PC as well, I look forward to that video! Thanks for the comment. :)
Thanks for clarifying a few issues I was unsure of when running Boot Camp on Leopard. Though I'll continue gaming in Mac OS X native where possible, I'll now get Windows for playing a few PC-exclusives (like Total War & the like) on my iMac. Cheers!
Thanks for watching! I'm the exact same way. If I can get it native in OS X that's what I do but otherwise I use boot camp. My latest boot camp gaming experience was with STALKER: Clear Sky and that worked out pretty well. Let me know how Total War is! I played a hell of a lot of Rome: Total War and loved it.

@AfterEffects101 bootcamp because it takes full advantage of your computer, and parallels keeps both system running, which means more lag
