I love this car! haha, what kind of alt system do you have? I went to an alt shop down the street and asked about getting a h/o and i mentioned a 200 amp and the guy said it would bog the motor down. True? its an 01 cougar with a 2.5l v6. haha, i dont really know much about altenators. O and btw im running 1000 rms and 2k max. Weak i know lol but my 110 amp alt isnt cutting it

You could probably put a 200 amp alternator in there. Though it would bog down the engine. Just hit the gas a little before you play a song or you might kill it lol.

Should be alright when your driving though, but then again I've never had a 200 amp on a v6 lol.

what kind of altenator do you use for all that power? I have a stinger 12 farad cap and a stringer 1500D dry cell and everytime the bass hits the voltage goes down to around 12.5 from 14.6ish.

ditch the cap and get more batteries. for $50 more than a 12 farad cap, you can get an optima yellow top battery probbaly and it'll have more amps than the cap.
