1 Person is from New York City and considered that the term "New Junk City" was, both, uncalled for ridicule and uncalled for defamation of his beloved homecity of New York City.
If you want Earthworm Jim (or Earthworm Jim 2), get either the Super NES or SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive versions. I own the SEGA version of Earthworm Jim 2, and then got the GameBoy Advance ROM of it and decided to test it.
Trust me. The GBA ports are NOT. WORTH. IT. They're HORRIBLE in comparison — in ALL respects. Pay a little extra and get a Super NES or Yobo FC Twin for the Super NES version of the game, or get the SEGA Firecore or a Yobo FC 3 Plus for the SEGA Genesis version of it.
If you decide to go with a SEGA Firecore, though, get a pair of old six-button SEGA-brand Genesis/Mega Drive controllers; I bought my brother a SEGA Firecore for his birthday, and the joypads are really bad — very imprecise.
The song is for new junk city but it is most memorable for that damn submarine race, i remember several moments miraculously getting thru with no time to spare.
@conn0412 You grew up with the SNES didn't you? The Genesis version's sound quality is much better, it's not as muffled as this poor version is. Seriously, this is the worse version of the song. I do like this, just not as much as the other versions. So, yeah disregard my older post.
@conn0412 It's all good bro. I'm sorry also. It's understandable. We all have our own opinions right? In the long run Earthworm Jim's OST on any system is badass! :D
They are EXACTLY THE SAME. Except the smoother bass on the SNES version, which is really good. Other than that, this is the best. If they could just merge the good qualities from all four versions of the song, that would be awesome.
This is the best song!!!! :3

@sonikku1011 What? The SNES had better sound quality and graphics than Genesis. But the Genesis is boss at drums and bass.

I like the genesis soundtrack more, but that's probably because I grew up with that game.

Win95: Awesome intro synths, best key it could possibly be in.
SNES: Pretty much the same thing.
SEGA: Smoother bass, more realistic percussion.
BPhoenixProductions 3 years ago
this guy has it right.
they key on the sega version isnt that good but the bass is better.
mackross 3 years ago
this IS the snes version
jewifeifei 3 years ago
Thus the "Pretty much the same thing". The windows 98 version has the Sega CD version.
BPhoenixProductions 3 years ago
Haha, fuck you console fanboys, PC version is the best

PC rules
JMtheCONQUERER 3 years ago
I agree, PC version is good, but it's in a key much too high, and the intro for this version is MUCH better than the synth.
BPhoenixProductions 3 years ago
SNES ftw
Nintend00 3 years ago
But the gameplay is much better on Genesis. Extra levels ftw.
BPhoenixProductions 3 years ago
But the Sega CD/Pc Version has both. Special Edition FTW. =D
KennethMoreland 3 years ago
But it was originally only for the genesis. Original version FTW.

Intestinal Distress is only bad on the GBA.

The PC version has the same key as the genesis.
This is a revised version of the song, the genesis was the original.
DihDin 3 years ago
Yes, the genesis was indeed the original. But the key is completely different between the Win95 and Genesis.

snes version is soo much better than the sega version

The SNES and Genesis versions of the tracks are actually quite a bit different.
DihDin 3 years ago 5
Yes, but they're the same song, same melody, same backgrounds, same bass. So, exactly the same song.
BPhoenixProductions 3 years ago
So is the Sega CD and PC versions by that matter.
DihDin 3 years ago
Well, CD & Win98 are the same recordings, while Win95 (this) and snes are exactly the same files as well.
BPhoenixProductions 3 years ago
This version is so cool

Is it just me, or does the blinga-linga that starts on 00:25 resemble Street Fighter II on the SNES?
