Looks a little like a slap dash car yard paint job! You shouldn't use bog on a plastic bumper (there are proper fillers for plastic) but if you have to, at least prime over the bog before painting and being a plastic bumper, you will also need to add a plasticiser to both the primer and top colour otherwise after a few months it will flake off the now cracked bog and the bumper itself (due to expansion and contraction of the plastic bumper).
They really should learn to do something properly before showing others to do it.

@italian0dyme call around to your local united auto supply stores, you should be able to find one that can hook you up. also have you tried calling body shops in your area? i find it hard to believe that you cant find a good auto paint resource in nascar country.

I did all of this then i used a rubbing compound to try and even it out and fix any light blemished b4 i polished and waxed.. but the rubbing compound just took off all the paint i just put on and left the paint that was underneath it... I did it to get it shiny.. but i guess i just went backwards.. now i need to go buy more paint.. guess I will have to deal with it not being shiny
i remember doing an automotive project similar to this. What i had to do though was use wax+grease remover to remove any bad stuff and use coarse sandpaper lightly to scratch the surface to provide grip for the material. Next, spray primer coats (1-3 coats), let dry, sand with light sandpaper, then do the coats of paint (4-7 coats, depending on the colour). For some reason my research told me to do a clear coat after i was done... i was painting a motorcycle gas tank though :\

i also have a s15 audm and went the double din nav way too.. i got a kenwood system though.. good but the pioneer came with all accessorys whereas kenwood you needed to buy the extras :(

@Yar0niX I noticed that too or it could be filler they just didn't sand down enough. Either way this is a really cheap way to fix your car if money is tight. So thumbs up to them!

Ive always wanted to try and bog up some things on my Cefiro, but dont have quite the experience. I do however do quite a lot of gyprock flushing, are the techniques basically the same you think? :) Would make me a lot happier! :D
So you guys didn't paint the whole bumper? What vertical seem did you paint along to hide the line towards the middle of he bumper? Also, could you please let us know what grade of wet and dry you used for the initial sand, and the following sands? Did you sand in between coats?
@freestyla101 for a whole bumper we'd recommend proper baked 2k paint, there was no vertical seam we feathered the paint more towards that end, not very noticeable. Started with 120 for initial sand, 240 for bog 400 & 600 for final sanding.

yup not problem! water also breaks down filler. try it out it with extra filler, let it harden and get it wet. it will become like chalk. You did sand and made sure it was dry so i believe you good to go anyways!

i do body work for a living and just a tip, never get the bondo (filling agent) wet.

@bigstrappa Good Tip! Water under paint is bad, particularly for bigger panels where its more noticeable

yup not problem! water also breaks down filler. try it out it with extra filler, let it harden and get it wet. it will become like chalk. You did sand and made sure it was dry so i believe you good to go anyways!

@bigstrappa I believe you, but what would happen if i DID get the filler wet? What would it do to the paint one would spray over it?

@ibleed1 the paint might not stick every well, but the filler would not be very strong or at least be any where near what is should be.
