Not really! They did implement a new rule this year, but it's not really something in the rule book, just something the race director tells you before the race in the drivers meeting.
It's a "2 spins and your in" rule! 2 spins, and you get a stop and go penalty!

Thanks all. If you couldn't tell, it started to rain the last lap and there was just very little grip left in the track!
The championship came down to this race that year and this was the deciding race. If I could have completed the pass, I could have won. Was a fantastic season though. I did win it this year though...
