As you can see in this video, as well in part 2 and 3, the AMT F59PHI trains have a very distinctive sound to them. I never quite figured out what could be causing this. Maybe its the generators? I dont know :S
Wow, we should have railfanned together, i didnt know you lived so close! I never had a problem with anyone on AMT, I shot pics at Dorval and Gare Lucien L' Allier without any problems, a engineer even let me in the cab of a GP9! That really made my day. I did have a ticket though as i arrived on that first train in the vid, and then rode back to Montreal behind AMT 243 as you have probably seen.
You are 5 minutes from my house, and 2 minutes from my model railroad club! Great video, but you are lucky you didn't get a ticket for being on the platform for not taking the train. That has happened too many times...
