I was so excited last summer leading up to this album's release, giving Whitney a NICE CHANCE after dumping Bobby and hoping that happy days would return. But a year later, I'll have to admit, what a disappointing project that I Look To You has turned otu to be. No big vocal improvement, (almost) no notes higher than a D5, disappointing concert reviews, no US Tour leg (yet), no Grammy nominations, over 70% of the album sales occured in just a month, the highest charting single was #70.

in my opinion, she still has the feeling and emotion behind her music, but she needs to work on her vocal control. she seems to run out of breath too quickly. in studio she sounds 99% like the old whitney, but live, she sounds winded and "talks" too much. I think she just needs some vocal coaching and exercise and she could return to the diva we all love and miss.
