  • @fattydudley if your not a fan of reptiles why would you keep them?

  • $3000-4000??!! Crazy. I wouldn't buy a reptile for such a sum. The MOST I would pay for a reptile is $200. I'm not a reptile fan. I keep some, but I'm not a fan.

  • LOL, got mine for $80! But, i'd def pay up to 4 grand for them. Worth it!

  • Love watching this just to hear the dude declare his shingleback set him back 4 grand... Aussie here :P

  • dont put your finger in there mouth, they have a strong bite, i cant beleive they pay $4000 for them, see my videos i stopped one from being run over and there are so many of them on the roads lol .

  • @frogger2222 serious dude where do u live get them for like $50 AU

  • @looterwolf in america theyre pricey as fuck you ausies are lucky as fuck getting shingle backs blueys and shit for cheap

  • i used to have 5 i got them from my unvles farm but thay hardly move around i had them for 2yrs!

  • mine cost $0 i found him :) hes jst a baby

  • Here is some advice you really should follow. Return that newborn back to wild or place it into the hands of a person who has a liscence to take reptiles out of the wild. The biggest pain that we experience as liscenced handlers is the people that take reptiles illegally out of the wild;

We go through all of the fees and paperwork only to find that people still are doing the wrong thing.

You can thank me later but please, do the right thing.

  • Heh, I have these scuttling about in my backyard (and have 1 juvie as a housepet) - they're so common we West Aussies kinda take them for granted but they're definately one of the nicest companion lizards you can keep!

  • Wow! thats a very bright shingleback skink

  • i have one as a pet i live in aus they are great :)

  • WTF????? 4 GRAND??

  • Wow back here they are 200 dollars (australian) :P

  • At the reptile expo i saw them running for $250-$300 US

  • not these types of lizards.

  • yes, yes those types, im in cali so there quite a bit his expensive cuz first CB's

  • if they are in the US they HAVE to be captive bred or they are illigal. Australia no longer allows exports.

If you ever see a Shingleback for less then $2000 I'd be suspicious on their legal origins.

  • Hey if it came here illegaly dont mind me none! And ive seen CB shingle backs for bout 250-300 at expos too so...

  • O_O WHERE IS THIS?! AHH! I'll send you the money if you send me the skink! Gah!

  • whattt in australia they are 175 dollars

  • Wow. They go for about $80 from where I come from. (Western Australia lol)

  • yeh same here lol

  • DAMN!3-4 grand?Not even albino lol!!!Grrr i want a shinglebacks kink =(

  • shinglebacks are very expensive because thats one of the first CB babys. Wild caught (not saying it's right) shingleback skinks are around £200 or $420

  • But you can't get Wild Caught in the U.S. It's illegal to export and if they haven't had babies yet then they're either dead or unable to give birth.
