  • I bet the place was haunted and they thought this would get rid of the spirits!

  • hiding evidence of torcher no doubt

  • Wow. If this is the same one that appeared in GA, I feel for those trapped souls

  • What a cute fly stroll at your camera objective ;P

  • I actually did a research paper on this; many controversial things occurred there

  • What a shame to see this go. I was lucky enough to venture inside a few months prior to this. I vividly remember the room at :46 (that's how I got in, actually) and the two stuffed animals side-by-side on a shelf near the door. Its sad to see them carelessly rip apart such an eerily beautiful structure.

  • Destroy history and the wonderful architecture just to make a ball field and a park !! How stupid is that. It's like tearing down the pyramids to make a parking lot !! That was just insane !! Why didn't they ask us in Morris County what we think?

  • "Oh it's really interesting to tear apart." Yeah your tearing apart a beautiful peice of architecture and history you son of a bitch! "Making it into a beautiful fun park." Wasn't it more fun with the asylum there? All over the world these hospitals are getting torn down and I share a huge fascination for institutes for the criminally insane and going in these places you see lots of history. There a few left but luckily near me we have one thats still running Graylands. =D

  • I drove through there with my girlfriend once at like 1am she freaked out, and wanted nothing to do with it.

  • A shame that such a rich country has no better laws for monument protection !!!

    !

  • used to live about 3 miles away. went to visit it with a friend before it was torn down. such a disappointment to see it go

  • It is so wrong that such wonderful historical sctures like this one are demolished and not allowed to just exist.... I mean for god sakes in was the lagest building in the world on a single foundation, and woody guthrie even had a stay there.... what a shame

  • I'm planning to go to greystone this weekend. Are any of the older buildings still up???

  • yea there is the main building and some other wings but becareful the cops that work at the new graystone(across the street) come in that aera luckeliey i had my aunt with me who works there and the cop did not care

  • Wow, it was sad to see The Curry Building go. R.I.P. Curry Building. I'll have to head up there next week and check out the main Kirkbride.

  • The main Kirkbride building is still standing. It's too big to demolish.

  • its a shame it is a gorgeous building

  • wait, was this the doheny property?

  • and just when i was about to visit it to! :(

    ugh! dammit! :(

it could have been a museum or something like that!

  • why do they tear down cool old buildings instead of reusing them its crap

  • stupid faggorts i hope nick nolte finds you

  • Very sad. RIP

  • a beautifull park?..not very smart in my opinion..for those spirits are not going to leave just because the building is gone..

  • Bad memories. Good riddance

  • Bastards!

  • why couldnt they just go inside retards

  • Very sad

  • Too bad :(

  • r.i.p you were amazing....
