  • wow you guys are just wonderful!

  • This is the best recording of Washington Grays by a H.S. Band I have heard. For them to do so well ON THE MARCH says a lot for their music program. Their Eb cornet players are among the best. They should be proud!

  • I'd like to know where Mt. Carmel is. The band is great.

  • @michaelorwin San Diego California

  • @michaelorwin Great formation, posture, musicianship, tempo etc.--------THE COMPLETE PACKAGE!! Whoever runs this music program is doing one hell of a good job! Hats off to one of the finest H.S. Bands in the nation

  • i ve a version from a record of 1930's. The music sounds more dynamic. Im not so fond of the modern interpretation of the march.

  • Or at least the American ones.

  • Grafulla composed Washington Greys in 1861 for the 8th Regiment, New York State Militia. It breaks the old formulas because it has no introduction, no break strain, and no stinger.

  • I believe claudio grafulla wrote this march Bob M

  • Thanks!

  • @rmorecook When a high school band can play a march of this difficulty musically ON THE MARCH, it says a lot about their music program.
