  • A bath is fine for the hedgehog but you should never put soap in the water so that the animal gets soap in it's eyes, nose and mouth. You are being negligent to the hedgehog's safety.

  • Fucking Adorable.

  • awww so cute

  • and soap's bad for them!

  • @isas55 not if its baby soap

  • @chocolatehobnob101 Grow up, pussy. If you had read the description you'd know that OP obviously knows what they're talking about. Little kids don't like baths, either, but are you going to let your kid run around without having one for months just because 'it is too mean :('? God damn, stfu.

  • @chocolatehobnob101 Its not mean after all it keeps the creature clean :):) plus the person is there to support him if he needs any real help.

  • @readthisandsmile1 Thank you for using the incorrect form of "they're" three times in one sentence and not even consistently using they same wrong one. Those little things make my life worth living. They're=They are

  • @KraftwithaK So your life is all about going to Youtube and look to videos to find incorrect comments.... Interesting life.

  • @readthisandsmile1 I think you have summed that up pretty nicely. BTW, there should probably be a question mark after the first part of your response.

  • @readthisandsmile1 Not to mention that he mistyped 'the' as 'they'.

Of course, your grammar is still atrocious.

  • "I smell somethin.."

  • Cuteness overload! HNNNG

  • question~: would baby shampoo work for a hedgehog or no? i know you said scentless body washes but i'm just curious. trying to get all my facts before thinking of getting one. ^^

  • @kyoko2zombie You could use baby shampoo, but it must be unscented! Or you could use cat shampoo either one works great I have a hedgehog and I use cat shampoo! They are great pet's to own so I hope you get one!:)

  • SHAYMIN.

  • I just died....from an overload of cuteness

  • SOOOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE

  • Adorable! How old is he?

  • There should NOT be soap in the water. And he is clearly trying very hard to get out of the sink but can't. Just like when chipmunks and sometimes cats drown in swimming pools becasue they can't climb their way out.

  • @missea1000 It's not that deep, and he would be trying to get out of there even if it wasn't soap. What's wrong with soap anyway? It's perfectly healthy to bathe a hedgehog in soapy water.

  • @missea1000 And oh my God! Look! He has that same look of terror that your mother had when she saw you come out of the womb!!! D:

  • @missea1000

oh no another one of these comments oh noooo

  • @missea1000 Why can't I watch a cute animal video without comments like these?

  • Comment removed

  • @missea1000

    1. He doesn't seem harmed.

    2. He's being watched. Plus he's STANDING, obviously he can't drown.

  • @eclairep that and hedgehogs can swim.

  • How long does these live?? ITS SO CUTE..

  • sonic will have no air bubble trouble here

  • Apparently 63 people have reaaaaaally tiny dicks. This video is adorable, anyone who dislikes it MUST have an inferior penis.

  • @AdioSkateboarding413 I don't have one at all, and I enjoy this video!

  • I find your video and your comments along with the links very informative! Thank you for reminding folks that if considering any type of animal to really think of the costs. I had a kitty who just passed away a year ago at the age of 11. I often get asked why I have not gotten another one, and this is because financially, I can't swing it if she would get sick. So I am waiting until I can! I think your hedgie is very lucky to have you as an owner.

  • omg omg omg I CANT RUN UP THIS WALL!!!!

  • @Canis1969Lupus1 Uhm, read the description. "He doesn't like it very much, but he needs to be bathed every once in a while because hedgehogs have very dry skin and get really itchy." -__________________________-

  • my name is quentin!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Canis1969Lupus1 wtf are you talking about? how is this tormenting?

    I'm a total girl.

    xD

  • That is one of the cutest things I've ever seen!!!!!

  • does it hurt if you hold one

  • @pokemondimond101 Depends if its tamed if it is tamed. if it is tamed and likes you its quills?spikes will be low down and not hurt,

  • I don't really like this one. He really wanted out... but I understand why you have to bathe him. :)

  • Comment removed

  • vai a fanculo!

  • What he is not Dishwasher safe?

  • rip quentin

  • fat?

  • can i have him? i want him. im going to take him >:D

  • i think you should have made the water so that he could toch the floor so he wont panick im just saying. :)

  • Ahah , its like "who needs a wheel?!"

  • AWWWWWWWWW

  • I just got a hedgehog about a month ago and I was wondering when i should introduce him to te water?

  • XD it´s like a little kid that doesn´t like the bath time

  • And as for the bedding mentioned below, you are supposed to use Aspen bedding.

  • I have a hedgehog too, and she hates baths and does the same thing!

  • aww cute

  • you the funny thing is....my name is Quentin :D

  • wait... SONIC CANT SWIM HE WILL DROWN o wait thats not sonic -facepalm-

  • i have heard about the chemical the cedar chips give off, pine has been more reccomended, but im not going to put money on that

  • PET animals need baths because of their conditions. A wild hedgehog can travel up to three miles every night foraging for food. However, in captivity hedgies run on their wheels and often go to the bathroom while doing so. And in the wild, baths consisted of swimming or standing in the water they drank.

  • thats sow cute could you ake more amd more

  • thats sow cute could you send more and more its sow cute plz

  • @zorra 578 xD he's so cute, my hedgehog needs a bath cuz they have a wheel and they don't get offa it to go to the bathroom so there feet are pretty gross so we wash them and the wheel like everyday

  • omg omg omg omg omg this so soooooo cutee... look at the nose xD

  • soooooooooooooooo cute i love hedghogs and i love the nose.

  • I have a Hedgehog and I've been told by many breeders and found in the 5 weeks of research Before I got my hedgehog they not really suppose to be give a bath to often. And they have bag balm to use for dry skin and you clean their feet with wet paper towels. and as well as the Cedar chips there is oil in them that can cause harm to a hedgehog. I personally use Carefresh bedding.

  • awww... cute! i want one!!

  • awww! how old is he?

  • omgomgomgomgomgomgomg <3

  • Aww!! He is adorable!!!!!!

  • Let this poor guy out of there and why do you have soap in there with him?

  • @missea1000 It's a bath. We use soap when we take a bath, hun. I'm not sure if you're aware.

  • Dont know what i love more, the fact its a hedgehog in a bath, or the fact he is called Quentin.

  • awww, he so cute! I hate how people bitch about "animal abuse" when a pet is getting a bath. Human children dont like bathes either, but does that mean we shouldn't properly care for them?

  • Pity he wasn't allowed out when he CLEARLY wanted out. Not natural for an animal to be in a sink. He looked distressed and trying to get out. WHY wouldn't you let him out???? Or is it a control issue...

  • @TruthSeekingElf

it's not natural for a hamster to run on a wheel either.

  • @GatorM I TOTALLY agree! It's bad for their backs and can lead to curveture of the spine. It's cruel in the extreme and these wheels ought to be banned.

  • @TruthSeekingElf

CLEARLY you speak hedgehog or CLEARLY you can read his mind. You. Are. Awesome!

  • @TruthSeekingElf

CLEARLY you speak hedgehog or CLEARLY you can read his mind (through a computer monitor). Either way, you are CLEARLY awesome!

  • @merrielong

And CLEARLY I am not familiar with how to post to youtube!

  • @merrielong LOL!! Well, you are awsome too! CLEARLY!! :o)

  • @TruthSeekingElf Uhh... animals need baths... Even though most don't like them. Chill out.

  • @TruthSeekingElf Uhm, excuse ME you ignorant twat. Don't go around calling others ignorant when you don't know a thing about what you're talking about. Was I even using a terribly awful tone with you? NO. You need to learn to quiet you're tone before you do it to the wrong person. You're fucking ignorant. Animals in the wild bathe themselves. The only reason humans bathe animals like this is to keep them healthy and to prevent various disease. The hedgehog isn't even suffering here.

  • @TruthSeekingElf Before baths were invented? I'm sorry, but do you know what a bath is? It's water. Wild animals like elephants and chimpanzees have been able to bathe/groom themselves on their own for hundreds of years. All animals have rights, yes, but living in the wild with hundreds of predators isn't exactly the "happy life". This hedgehog could be dead right now, but what is it doing? Taking a bath. So please, don't call people ignorant when you have no idea what you are talking about.

  • @furubafuruba94 You do realize most animals living in homes with humans live longer, healthier lives... right? (Of course disregarding abusing homes)

  • aww so cute

  • RIP

  • Awwwww!! He's adorable!!

  • aaaaaaaaaw so cute!!! and great name you chose!

  • yeah, but by not buying an animal from the pet store doesn't that leave them susceptible to more abuse/mistreatment?! If we buy one from a store, we can give it a safe, good home to live in rather than leave it there for someone else to hurt.

pet stores are just like shelters in a way. a place to rescue an animal from.

  • @ThePaperFalcon Buying from a pet store gives them business and encourages the store to buy more animals. I do understand what you mean about saving them from a pet store, though, and feel kind of the same way as you do about that. However, I would Never compare a pet store to a shelter. ...

  • @ThePaperFalcon ...Pet stores encourage more breeding, usually mass breeding i.e. a local breeder knows she can sell 6 puppies to the pet store immediately rather than wait for individual customers to come to her, so she will produce more litters than she would have if she chose not to bring the animals to the pet store. Meanwhile, 6-8 million cats and dogs end up in shelters each year, and nearly half of them are euthanized....

  • @ThePaperFalcon ...A way that many hedgehog owners recommend approaching a pet store is to ask if they happened across the hedgehog or if they plan to get more once it is sold. If they plan to keep hedgehogs "in stock", it may be tempting to think that someone will buy the animal anyways so why not you -but- one more hedgehog sold is one more hedgehog that must endure that environment. You will still be saving a hedgehog by not turning to a pet store. It will be one that never has to go there.

  • You should put a treat at the 'top' of the sink for in case he gets out; i heard hedgehogs are a little fat, so he could use the exercise. sorry if this isn't a good idea, I've never personally seen/owned hedgehogs.

  • @Mattelliott1234 You sicken me.

  • @Mattelliott1234

being an owner of a hedgehog, you sicken me as well.

    what were you thinking?

i hope that you regret it

for the rest of your life,

so that you know to never to something so horrible and evil as that EVER again.

  • PAUSE AT 0:40 !!! i think he has a small gash in him!!!!

  • HE'S POPPING THE POOR BUBBLES!!! O_o SAVE THEM SAVE THEM!!

  • Who dislikes a hedgehog video? There are some sick people in this world!

  • 52 people are ugly

  • Quentin has to be the CUTEST name ever for a hedgie! lol. I agree with you on a respectable breeder should not sell their hedgehogs to a Pet shop.

  • You have a very cute hedgehog :D and i have been wanting one ever seens i was little, so i will try to get one when i get older. Your tips on bathing are a real help :) thank you!

  • Help! Anyone? Am I alone. HELL NO STOP RECORDING AND HELP ME!

  • oh my gosh hes stuck :O go little hedge go!

  • I'm a mean ass person in real life, true asshole with hurtful jokes. but this....it's...too...CUTE! <3

  • adorable :)

  • won't he like, drink the soap?

  • man down man down.....call for back up

    tails

    shadow

    i repeat man down

  • When bathing a hedgie, to stop his skin becoming dry, what sort of olive oil would be best to use? just the normal stuff you use for cooking? Or would something like E45 bath oil be better?

  • naw.

  • where do you get the oatmeal thing from??

  • @zorra578 hi ijust got a baby pygmy hedgehog and she is now full grown ive been told to bath her in oatmeal water and just to scoop it onto her but im not sure if thats the best way? what's your advice?

  • omfg how cute!

  • It's Just SOOO CUTE!!

  • clearly he wants out!

  • X_X TOO MUCH CUTE!

  • ITS JUST SO GOD DAM ADORIBLE!

  • awwwww. now he'll smell good! :)

  • Awwww the hedgehog is adorible my mum loves them. do u know where u can get them in the usa

  • @traciuk69 Usually Any local store has them, I am getting one too!

  • aw he's like Hodge.. Hodge HATES bathtime. So far (and i've only had him since last fall) he just gets footbaths and a damp mopping if he's covered in something gross (like anointment goop or something..)

I've been trying to get him a little more interested in the idea of bathing. But he does what yours does. Tries to run out of the sink :)

  • He is adorable! I have a female like yours named Pringles.. Have your heard of using Olive Oil in the water to help with the itchy dry skin? Mine feels the same way about baths as your does. She loves to snuggle in the towel afterwards though.

  • holy shit...best video ever. i so wish i had that

  • @PinkFluffies

How the heck do you know what kind of bedding this person uses for their hedgie? And for that matter, why would you assume the soap wasn't safe? You just made yourself look like a fool! Shame on you... Before you insult someone by assuming they don't care for their pets (by giving care instructions that anyone could read on google), why don't you try doing some research yourself!

  • I've been looking into it and I hope to get a hedgehog soon <3 I'm just not sure if he/she would get along with my ferrets. Do you know any tips to introduce them or get them use to eachother?
