i took the car (2009) as a rental for a couple of days to see if it's worth buying and i must say i hated it. The acceleration (on premium gas) is worse than in kia rio or yaris, both its interior and suspension are uncomfortable. I am not crazy about the awkward looks either. Would much rather get the rio or the versa.

i dont mind the looks. this is how the japanese do. and the japanese and i have something in common. the drive of the car is awesome. hell its not a sports car but its an econocar thats has a racing feel. o well fuck its a car thats Fun to drive any day of the week.

i'm sorry, but the 2007 version just looks better. the 2009 version looks kind of . . . odd.

just sayin...I got the honda fit sport 2009 black on black for 17,011.00 plus tags tax and fees....even got the floormats and wheel locks thrown in...DON"T LET THEM CHARGE YOU MORE THAN 17580.00

If anyone pays the dealer markup for these, then they got shafted. I talked a dealer in Dallas down to List price, that's $15,500. That was for a base 5MT model with factory alloys, tint, floormats and a few other dealer extras. Chevy dealer wanted 14 grand for an Aveo with AC and the standard "LX" package and that car was a HORRIBLE drive. The Fit was actually more fun than I expected.

I would prefer a mature looking new scion xb...this car still look like a pre mature gay egg like go cart..

I wouldn't use scion and mature in the same sentence. If anything the practicality and fuel savings speak more to the maturity of the target consumer of this car than anything else.

I checked one out the other day. But damn!!!! Both of them were $20K+....for a sub-compact....come on. Made the Scion xD at just oover $15K seem down right cheap.

Over 20k? I priced a Fit Sport w/ Navi and a few other options and it was still under twenty grand. Maybe the dealer you visited is price gouging?

Yes the fit is more expensive than the Yaris...... but look at the diference in appearance. The Fit in my opinion looks alot nicer.

@Aldenif This car is way better than a Yaris Hatchback....it may be more expensive, but it worths every dollar of its price!

The Fit is being compared to cars like a Yaris and then labeled expensive, while obviously the Fit is considerably larger.

Unjust and therefore irrelevant to say the Fit is too expensive.
