That chick couldn't have killed Edward, the spikey thing would have bounced right off his skin, the only things that can pierce vampire skin are werewolf teeth and vampire fangs. And even if he had gotten pierced, the only true way to kill a vampire is to tear it to shreds then burn the pieces or it will begin to heal and reform. So the ending sucked.
