  • hate to say it but bilbo looks like a pimp what with his stance and his pimp halbred (hes to cool to settle for a mere cane)

  • This plus Dwarf Fortress makes for quite a groovy time.

  • Why is Gandalf's face green?

  • This was a fantastic movie, but I did have one complaint: what was with the art style? All the dwarves look like super wrinkly slightly deformed midgets.

  • @TheBovineLord It could have been worse. Look at Bilbo in the soundtrack cover picture ;P Imagine if they looked like that

  • My only wish is that Jim Henson would've been alive to work with Peter Jackson on this. Think of Dark Crystal imagination combined with Rankin/Bass, that would've been mind blowing O.O I'm thankfull they included the singing in the new one, the singing IS part of the story.

  • what this movie lacked in animation quality, it made up for in AMAZING artwork and voice acting.

  • I'm soo excited for this movie to come out! It's going to be good!

  • i had this on record when i was young. about 25 years ago. thank you for this!

  • Oh god this song in the Hobbit trailer.

  • Im listening to these again... Im a 90s kid but I watched this on VHS and this music really brings back some memories!

  • @ShinKyuubi I haven't been able to find Flight of Dragons since I rented it from Blockbusters on VHS! It's been a real pain since it was one of my favorite movies.

  • this was my childhood, and its about to be renewed in 2012!! cant wait for the hobbit movie!

  • I've known this poem since before I could read....there is a magic in that music, and it has moved through me as long as I can remember.

  • sooo epic

  • There's a magic in that music.

    And it moves through me....

You feel the love of beautiful things.

To go and to see the mountains and the pine trees...

....to carry a sword instead of a walking stick.

  • goosebumps.

  • John Houston, ftw

  • BILBO BAGINS <33 ! :D Oh god !!! this song makes me so fucking happy ! LOTR FOR EVER !

  • Wow.... the audio is so clear that it seems like John Huston just finished his voice over for Gandalf barely a minute ago!

  • i think they will sing something simmilar in the comming movie

  • Relaxing. MMmmmMmmmm

  • i wanna drink beer

  • This was one of my favorite songs in the animated The Hobbit!

  • wow! I remember this cartoon! I got the chills! I love this one and can't wait for the actual live action movie! I hope it doesn't disappoint!

  • @VisionWiz1978 i hope they use this soundtrack

  • Dam... I cant wait for the movie xD

  • EPIC FUCKING MUSIC

  • Between the two of them, I think Rankin Bass got Dwarven music right on the mark... less so for the elves.

  • As amazing as Sir Ian McKellen was as Gandalf, this will always be Gandalf's voice and appearance to me.

  • I love that you have all of them!

  • I miss the voice of Gandalf. He is everything a wizard should sound like, to my mind.

  • I knew the "That's What Bilbo Baggins Hates" song before I ever saw the cartoon.. my mom, rest in peace, used to sing it whenever I would help with dishes as a little kid.

  • thoosee wise cracking dwarves!!!!! stoppp freaking bilbo outt!!!! leave his blooody plates alonee!!!

  • Wow! It sounds like its fresh from the studio!

  • Best movie/cartoon EVER!!!

  • They played this on the radio on a college station once. Not this song, but the whole record, if it is what it seems to be. If not, they played the movie and held a mic to it. And I circled the block until the end. Because I love this.

  • Loved this part of the movie.

  • GOD THESE SONGS WERE THE BEST.

  • Does anyone know where to find the instrumental version?

I'd like to use it for my website. =)

    This is awfully good, though.

  • anyway to get this on CD?

  • thanks man these songs are awsome

  • OMFG OMFG OMFG

  • finally found down in the valley ha! ha! although in the cartoon it was more sung by elvish sounding voices. still, thank uf or posting this it is truly awesome and a nastaglic piece of my childhood (before mainstream LORT ;) )

  • @mcarlucci2 it is sad that some people outright hated this movie. i personally thought it was a good movie. especially if you want to get little kids into the series.

  • Thanks for putting this up ;) What childhood memories...........where did my childhood go? lol

  • I know it's weird eh. I only recently learned there was a word for it, nastalgia. I was watching a little girl play at the doctors office, and I think I am going to invite friends over, just to play with lego and blocks on the ground. I'm like early 20's. haa, i know it sounds weird, but I don't want to be someone who sighs to young ones "Your only young once," regretfully and mournfully. I want to stay connected with children and with my infancy for ever.

  • @MrTheoriginalderek We all wonder that. But life goes on, you'll not be a kid forever, I'm 19, so my finished childhood is still a fresh memory. But we all grow old and die. but till them we enjoy life. Make yours a good one, cause it's one per customer and no refunds
