Very helpful thank you! This is gonna be awkward but you have nice hands... Hahaha. Also you're really good on piano! And piano isn't even your main instrument? Wow, you must be incredible on your main instrument.
I think this tutorial was great. I think it would be very helpful to most people. I'm just more of a sheet music person. I have to see it lol. But great video! I think you did very well with it.
Ehh didnt like your version. It got me started with learning the song but there's maybe 3 major tweaks that need to be made to sound more like the song
this is a great tutorial and great hand form, but i made me think. his hands are so nice and long. it made me realize that my hands are manly and large. im serious, they're bigger than yours and they're more... stocky? sure, that can be used to describe them. so my hands are larger and manlier than, im going to guess youre in your 30s, so my hands are larger and manlier than a guy in his 30s. and im a 12 year old girl.
@J0607122 hahaha, i'm a lanky 17-year old. but seriously, who cares about what your hands look like? you're your own person, beautiful in your own numerous ways. stop thinking about gender boundaries. "manly"? human.
I agree with the previous comment. U need to teach it one way not the triad as well in the same video. The camera is ok and thhe view is perfect so don't change that.
I was about to say you need to go back and learn it again and play slower but you actually are amazing at piano. More people of your nature are needed on youtube.
@klein7makers A 1-6-3-4 progression is essentially taking the first, sixth, third, and forth notes in any given major scale and turning them into chords, thus making them a chord progression.
@moondrop1881 the best advice i can give you is with the given chord progression, listen to how he plays it in the song and you'll figure it out immediately.
I love how many people are asking how to switch the tune of their piano to e major. lol cute. It reminds of the first time i walked into a store and kept asking for a capo ( with a hard a)
For all the bad mouthing of this video you do, it really is the only good one on YouTube right now. I can actually play this song now because of THIS video. Quit being so hard on yourself.
i have the same keyboard, a casio wk 200, with a sustain pedal, and i'm fairly new and just now beginning to play, and i was wondering how you change the tune to e major, and what tone are you playing in? plz reply. thanks
ok...i'm new at the piano, and i'm still learning, but i'm pretty sure that you have the same keyboard i do, and i was just wondering how you change the tune to e major, and what tone are you using also, if you would reply i would greatly appreciate it. thanks.
@04thegrinder well, this song is in e major, so you would just play in e major. (e major being: E, F#, G#, A, B, C#, D#, E) the tone i am using and frequently use is just 001, it reads St. GrPno.
Thank you so much, I have been trying to learn it for so long, but I've been using the chords that they have on guitar tab websites, but yours is transposed a lot more accurately to the original.
Thank you for making this video. Sadly it didn't help me much, it probably would have though if i didn't rely so heavily on sheet music. I just suck at piano I suppose XP
I really appreciate this tutorial. The way you explain the intro of the song is good, but you really rushed through the middle part. And the other tutorial did that, as well. I'd really like a more in-depth description of the chords he plays when he starts singing.

@J0607122 octaves cover 8 notes, but that's all just fancy mumbo jumbo, point is, it let's you show off how big your hands are.

Hey man thanks for the great tutorial! But I was wondering what exactly does an "1 6 3 4" progression mean? Thanks for your time :)

It's not a sostenuto, it's just a damper pedal. A sostenuto pedal is the middle pedal on a piano.

best tutorial ive found :D but i'f like it more if it was more thorough, didn't rush through it, and explained the entire song :/

@bl00dzy i apoligize, i feel like the intro is the only very important part, the rest of the song is all very similar.

@bl00dzy If this isn't thorough enough for you, you should consider a new instrument.

@UrPostOfficeBuddy don't you think the beginning of the song is played in chords? I was wondering if you can do a cover of the way you'll play it
roastedbonbon 1 year ago
@roastedbonbon it's the listener/player's choice, what sounds best to me is not what sounds best to others; play it of your own accord.
UrPostOfficeBuddy 1 year ago
So do you think breaking the chords up sounds better than playing in octaves? I think Bo plays In chords?
zero2121 1 year ago
@zero2121 to me, playing in octaves for both hands sounds the most apropos.
